The progress of the holiday

(The song “Three White Horses” plays.)

Leading: Hello, dear guys and our guests! Winter is the richest time of the year in holidays: New Year, Christmas, Epiphany, Maslenitsa... One of them is New Year's holidays: Vasily's Day or, as people call it, Old New Year. So today, together with you, we will try to imagine how Vasily’s Day or the Old New Year was celebrated in Rus'.

(To the soundtrack of the song “If only there were no winter,” the girls perform a snowflake dance.)

Solokha:
The holiday begins!
My dear guests,
Old and young!
We have gathered for a conversation,
We've gathered for some fun.

1st child.

Just like our great-grandfathers once did,
Well, great-grandmothers are with them

2nd child.

They came to the merry Christmastide,
To songs and riddles for the whole world.

3rd child. What are Christmastide?

4th child.

This holiday is the longest.
It's fun and vintage.
Our ancestors drank, ate,
We had fun for two weeks.

5th child.

From Christmas to Epiphany,
Having prepared a treat,
Various carols were sung,
We walked around the courtyards on Christmastide.

6th child.

Dressed up and joked
The holiday was awaited and loved.
So let's do it now
We will meet him here.

Carolers enter with a Kolyada doll and a Christmas star to the song “Kolyada.”

Mummers.

1st Mummer.

We sow, we weed, we sow,
Merry Christmas to you.
There will be a mountain of happiness for you,
The harvest is big.

2nd mummer.

Give birth to oats,
To grow two meters.
You are born with wheat,
And peas and lentils.

3rd mummer.

So that there are too many guests
It was in the house for a whole year!
There is always pie on the table.
Easy, easy roads for you!

4th Mummer.

Congratulations on the carol
And we wish the owners,
So that there is prosperity in the house
And everything was smooth in the family!

5th Mummer. Shouldn't we please everyone with a fun performance?

Played out Scene “The Goat and the Bear”» ( 6–7 mummers).

Goat.

Come on, Toptygin, shuffle your foot,
Have some fun with your guests.

Bear.

Come on, Goat, let's show you
How we dance wildly! ( stomps his feet)

Goat.

Come out and dance, Bear,
I'll sing a ditty.
We'll sing ditties
And then we’ll go dancing.

Bear.

When do you sing, Goat,
Don't roll your eyes.
You don't know how to sing
You don't eat, you bleat.

Goat.

And you, Mishenka, are a bear,
You don't know how to sing yourself,
You are hard of hearing -
No voice, no hearing.

Bear.

Oh, you Goat, Goat,
Gray rose.
Let's stop arguing
Let's put up with you.

Goat.

Oh, my dear Misha,
We didn't fight.
We were joking with you
The people had fun.

8th Mummer.

Carols, carols,
The guys gathered.
We went through the village
Together they found Kolyada.
Kolyada - molyada
I called all the guys,
I called all the guys,
I gave out gifts to everyone.

(Parents give treats - candy.)

Solokha. Well, what would a Christmas holiday be without games, jokes, fun games and competitions?!

Scary music sounds, a witch flies in and picks a star from the tree along the way.

Solokha. And you, old hag, why did you come? Evil spirits have nothing to do on New Year's Eve.

Witch. Well, first of all, hello, and secondly, you, Solokha, be more polite with me, everyone likes to guess on Vasily’s Day, but without evil spirits there is no fortune telling, and you don’t even have a Christmas star, so the holiday is over, leave go home... Although ( thinks) you can stay ( winks at the guys) Let's compete to see who will be more cunning, more savvy and more fun. If you play with me, make me laugh, who knows, maybe I’ll return the star...

Solokha. What to do, you have to play with evil spirits, you don’t want to be left without a holiday!

Witch.

So you'll have to play with me.
Tai, Tai, come on,
Play a game with me!
I am Grandma Ezhka,
Bone leg!
I will entertain you
I will play with you!

Children stand in a circle. In the center is the Witch. She has a broom in her hands.

To the lyrics of the song, children walk around the Witch.

Grandma-Ezhka,
bone leg,
Fell from the stove
Broke my leg
And then he says:
- My leg hurts.

The witch tries to touch the children with a broom - to “bewitch”: as soon as she touches the child, he freezes in any position (or drops out of the game).

Solokha. You outplayed us. Can you guess? Or maybe you're lying?

Witch: Oh, this is a piece of cake for me ( scatters grains). To whomever a grain falls, that will be the case:

Cupronickel, brass and gold,
Silver, cast iron and... cotton wool,
Mansion, palace, hut,
Barn, fifteenth floor...
“Ford”, “Toyota” for rent,
Mercedes and scooter
“Volvo”, “Skoda”, “Zaporozhets”...
What is most precious to you?

Solokha. This is fortune telling... Made me laugh, old one!

Witch. Nothing, nothing. There's still more to come. Most of all, on New Year's Eve, the girls wondered to find out whether they would get married, and who. Girls! Anyone who wants to know about their betrothed, come to me. I suggest we go catch chickens in the barn. Just the darkness is needed. Whoever catches a rooster in the dark will get married.

Solokha. I see you are cunning, you try to deceive everyone, it’s too early for our girls to get married. But can you cook porridge with us, and not just like that, and at the same time run, jump and have fun, in a word, celebrate New Year’s Eve? In Rus', they used to cook the most delicious porridge on Vasily’s Day. By the way, if the porridge turned out rich and crumbly, everything should be fine in the new year. And if she climbed out over the edges of the pot, you knew there was trouble.

Witch. Well, let's make some porridge! I announce sports relay races on Vasily’s Day and predict that those who will have fun and run without being lazy will live a hundred years without a sore throat and pharmacies! So, sports competitions on Vasily’s Day!

Introducing the teams: “Chicken Legs” and “Pig Ears”! I bet that none of the teams will cope with my tasks.

Solokha. What if he succeeds?

Witch. If he succeeds, I will return the star.

Competitions

1. Relay race “How they cooked porridge on Vasily’s Day”

1a. Preparing water for porridge. Teams stand against one wall of the classroom, and two chairs against the opposite wall (each team has its own). On each chair there are two glasses, one with water, the other empty, and a tablespoon. A team member needs to run up, pour 1 spoon of water from one glass to another, and return to the team. Then the next participant runs, pours the second spoon, etc.

1b. Cooking porridge. The starting position is the same. Near the teams there is a plate with beans and a spoon, everyone takes a bean, puts it in a spoon, carries it to a chair, throws it into a saucepan, while saying the words: “Cook the porridge for Vasily’s Day!”, then returns to the team.

2. Fortune telling

Throwing felt boots into a basket. Felt boots near the team. The 1st participant runs with a felt boot in his hands towards the line, throws at the basket until it hits, takes the felt boot, and returns to the team. The next team member runs next. (To reduce time, you can simply count the number of felt boots from one throw for each team member)

3. Game “Witch’s Broom”

Teams are called, stand in a circle and pass a broom decorated with a bow while music plays. Whoever still has the broom in his hands after the end of the music must solve the riddle about winter. (Token to the one who guesses the fastest)

Puzzles:

  • They sleep in the summer and run in the winter. (Sled)
  • Uphill a piece of wood, downhill a horse. (Sled)
  • The pebbles were hidden in furry bags,
Four together, one on a pole. (Hand in mitten)
  • Egorka is coming - a white fur coat. (Snow)
  • We looked out the window - there was a white cloth lying there. (Snow)
  • Crackling, vigorous, paved the bridge;
I ran through the courtyards and painted all the windows. (Freezing)
  • It flowed and flowed and lay under the glass. (River and ice)
  • I am water, and I swim on water. (Ice)
  • Walking in the field, but not a horse,
It flies freely, but is not a bird. (Blizzard, blizzard).

4. Relay race in New Year's hats

The mummers walked around and entertained people. Each participant puts on a cap, runs to the opposite wall, returns, and passes the cap to the next participant.

5. Game “Snowballs”

Each team needs to make snowballs from sheets of newspaper (parents help). Teams throw “snowballs” at each other, trying to leave fewer snowballs behind their line. The presenter and the children count the snowballs remaining in the “zone.” The team with the fewest snowballs is declared the winner.

6. Game “Hens and cockerels”

Children (2-3 per team) collect grains with their toes (pencils and pens) scattered on the floor. The team that collects the most wins.

Solokha. That's how many competitions the children went through. ( Scoring).

And we bet that you can’t cope with my tasks!

Witch. Why argue? I'm a witch!

1. I bet you can’t step over the pencil. I will put it on the floor, and you will not step over without moving it!!!

(How to win an argument? Place a pencil on the floor flat against the wall).

Solokha. So I lost my bet! Bring back the star!

Witch. No!

Solokha.

You'll have to call Santa Claus for help!
Santa Claus, where are you, where are you?!
(In chorus.) We found ourselves in trouble!

(Children sing the song "Russian Santa Claus".)

Santa Claus appears.

Father Frost. Who called me for help? Screamed so loudly in class! Hello, hello, our dear boys and girls, and adults too! Here it is, the time to meet! A! Yaga! I came here! She brought trouble with her! I'll freeze it, spin it around and turn it into icicles!

Witch. Forgive me, kids, girls and boys! I will stop being a bully and I will become obedient! And I will return your star.

(Returns the star.)

Father Frostwaves his staff and says: 1,2,3 - come on, little star, burn!

Returns a burning star to the tree (with a battery and a diode inside).

Father Frost. How, guys, can we forgive her? ( Yes.) I’m tired on the way, I’ll sit down to rest, and you will amuse the old man!

(Children perform a poem about Santa Claus and New Year's ditties.)

Father Frost.

I won't sleep today
I won't sleep until morning:
My younger brother and I decided
Wait for Santa Claus.
Mom and Dad were talking
He will come exactly at midnight,
Two obedient boys
He will bring gifts.

They say he wears a fur coat
In a red hat with a star.
In mittens with white fur,
Embroidered with gold thread.
He has a staff in his hand
And a floor-length beard -
I recognize him immediately
Although I've never seen it.
I ask that this night
He gave me a bicycle...
There's no point in waiting for him anymore
Where does this Grandfather go?
An hour passes, two passes
I'm almost asleep, but I'm waiting.
Maybe I'm Frost after all
I'll see you next year.
“Good morning, wake up,”
Mom tickles our noses, -
There are gifts for you under the tree
Grandfather Frost brought it."

New Year's ditties

  1. A wooden horse with curls in its mane.
We will sing fresh ditties about the New Year.
  2. Let's jump into the New Year with a loud cockerel,
We wish all our friends sincere good luck!
  3. Santa Claus handed out gifts, the children are happy.
Only Grandfather is not happy, he himself was left without a bag.
  4. The snow swirls and flies and falls on the fields.
Our Zimushka-winter decorates the forest with silver.
  5. A fairy tale, waiting for a miracle, magic comes to us!
May your wishes come true on New Year and Christmas!
  6. We sang ditties for you, we think it’s good,
And now we ask you to clap for us together!

Solokha. Since we are talking about a horse, a great helper in a peasant farm, I invite two blacksmiths and two apprentices to compete. You need to forge a horseshoe as quickly as possible! (assemble a whole horseshoe from 7 pieces of cardboard). Well done, our horse won’t go lame.

Now, guys, let’s make a verbal portrait of our Grandfather Frost. Listen carefully and answer “yes” or “no”. Clap your hands for “yes” and stamp your feet for “no”!

Did Santa Claus cover the winter forest with snow?
And then suddenly he climbed up a big pine tree?
Does he live there like a squirrel in a hollow?
Is he Grandma Yaga’s own nephew?
Does he have gifts for the children in his bag?
Two buckets of heavy bricks?
Does he have a bowl of semolina porridge in his bag?
Did he cook it in the bathroom today?
Does he have toys in his bag for you?
Does he look like a mean old lady?
Is he a good wizard, Santa Claus?
Does it sting your ears and sometimes your nose?

Father Frost. Well, now I’ll pinch your ears and noses.

Game "I'll freeze"

While the children are resting, a competition is offered for parents from the support group.

Competition "Can you count?"

Sit on an opaque bag containing walnuts. Feel how many nuts are under you.

Competition "Musical"

Teams are invited to sing the song “A Christmas tree was born in the forest,” replacing the words with woof-woof, quack-quack (together with their parents).

Competition for parents "Clock" (2 hours)

Your hands are the hands of a clock. You need to show the time 12:00, 15:00, 17:30, 18:00, 21:15.

Solokha. And now let’s all sing another New Year’s song together!

(Song “Kitten and Puppy”).

We continue the competition program for you guys!

Competition "Frosty Breath"

Two participants blow snowflakes off the table towards each other.

Competition "Guess the object"

Wearing thick mittens and blindfolded, he must determine by touch what kind of object he was given.

Father Frost:

I liked it here very much
Such evenings should not be forgotten.
But time rushes - it's towards night,
It's time for us to say goodbye, friends!
I wish you success in the new year,
More cheerful ringing laughter,
More good friends and girlfriends,
Excellent marks and knowledge chest!
See you in a year! ( Leaves).

Solokha:

May you have a good New Year
Will bring a lot of happiness!
If there were failures, it was difficult sometimes -
Everything will be different in the new one, this always happens!
Happiness, vigor, success, away from illness and misfortune!
May all your wishes come true in the coming year!

(Disco, and then treats at the table).

Leading:

And now our hour of emotional farewell has come.
To all my dear and dear friends
I say: "See you again,
Until we meet again, I wish you happiness!”

(Song by E. Vaeng “I wish.”)

Preliminary work

(Before the holiday, you should talk with your children about the peculiarities of celebrating St. Basil the Great Day in Rus'.)

According to the old style, Vasilyev's day fell on January 1 (January 14, according to the new style), therefore Father Frost was often called Vasilyevich. If the first day of the year is cheerful (happy), then the year will be like that, people believed.

On New Year's Eve, they celebrated the patron saint of pigs, St. Basil, by boiling and disassembling the pig's head into pieces. The housewives fried, boiled, baked as much food as possible: the mummers would come - they needed to be seated at the table, fed to their fill, given something to drink and take with them whatever they wanted. Guests at the holiday were sprinkled with grain (generosity), while they wished: “O God, give birth to every living thing for the whole baptized world.”

To ensure the well-being of the coming year, according to tradition, he should have arranged a joyful, friendly meeting. In some villages, for example, before midnight, young and old gathered in the hut. One of the guys or young men dressed up as an old man, put on old, ragged clothes, the other - usually a teenager or a boy - put on a red shirt and a white hat with tassels specially prepared for this occasion. The “old man” - the passing year - sat on a chair in the middle of the hut. Exactly at midnight, the New Year boy joyfully ran into the hut, pushed his predecessor off the chair and sat in his place. “Old Year” was pushed out of the hut amid general shouts and ridicule. Everyone congratulated each other on the New Year and wished everyone health and goodness:

Happy New Year!
With all the family!
To be healthy
Lived for many summers!
The children danced and shouted:
New Year has come
The old one stole
Showed yourself!
Go, people
To meet the sun,
Drive away the frost!

Neighbors, relatives, children went from house to house under the guise of “sowers”, threw a handful of grain into the red corner and sang, shouting:

I sow, I sow,
Happy New Year!
With cattle, with belly,
With little kids,
Happy little ones!
How many branches are there on a bush?
I wish you had so many children!
Happy New Year, master and hostess!
There were other similar sentences:
I sow, I sow, I sow,
Happy New Year!
For the New Year, for new happiness
Be born, little wheat,
Peas, lentils!
On the field - in heaps,
There are pies on the table.
Happy New Year with a new happiness,
Master, hostess!

Since Vasily is the patron saint of pigs, you can offer children riddles and proverbs about pigs.

Nothing hurts, but everything groans.
He walks on the ground but does not see the sky.
Crochet tail, snout nose.
If there was a pig, there would be bristles.
The goose is no friend to the pig.
The pig will find dirt.
The pig was white-nosed, blunt-nosed,
She dug up half the yard with her snout.

On New Year, as on Christmas, girls wondered, wanting to know their fate: whether their betrothed lived far or near, whether he would be poor or rich, whether they would get married this year or not at all. They often sang “sub-bowl” songs. Rings, brooches, and other decorations were placed in a dish, closed, and one item at a time was taken out while singing. The owner of the object learned about her future from the song.

The mouse squeaks, the loaf drags,
Yes, he will squeak, and another will drag him.
Yes, to whomever we sang, good luck to him,
Whoever gets it, it will come true.
The cat is lying in the stove,
Oh, Lyuli!
Covered with kittens.
And whose ring, that’s the song.
Whoever gets it will handle it.
Rich matchmakers are coming.
Lada!
One matchmaker in bast shoes,
And the other one is wearing boots.
To whom we sing, we sing well,
Whoever has it come true will not miss it.
This, mother, tormentor,
Bake pies.
You will have guests
Suitors come to me.
To whom we sang, good luck,
It will come true soon, it will not pass away.
The cat is walking along the bench,
Leads the cat by the paw.
Oh, to whom we sing, oh, good for him.
The girls also told fortunes with the cockerel.

Various items were laid out on the floor: bread - for a well-fed and rich life; salt - the husband will be harmful and angry; mirror - dandy husband; coal - to a long girlhood; water in a saucer - the husband will drink; coins - to wealth. The girls agreed on who they would tell fortunes to, lowered the rooster and watched which object it would go to - such was fate.

You could find out your future by throwing a shoe or felt boot outside the gate of the hut - in which direction the sock - from there the groom would come. And the name of the betrothed is the name of the first man he came across on the street.

Russian folk doll Kolyada

From Christmas to Epiphany - Christmastide. And what would Christmastide be without carols! For this holiday, our ancestors in Rus' made a Kolyada doll - a symbol of the sun and good relationships in the family. They believed that she brings peace, harmony, happiness and prosperity to the family. All Christmas carols were sung with Kolyada.
She was a portly woman, dressed in everything new and elegant. On her behalf, the carolers wished happiness and prosperity. They sang joyful songs glorifying the owners and the Nativity of Christ. To make a Kolyada doll, you need a cut of wood (birch) and scraps of fabric. Bags suspended from the belt contain bread (cereals) and salt. A broom is tucked into his belt, which Kolyada uses to ward off evil spirits. This is an elbow doll, about 30 cm high.

Hello! Today is the day to reveal your talents! After all, we are not just parents for our children! We perform many roles, depending on needs and opportunities. We are teachers, cooks, and doctors. And sometimes we have to try ourselves as Father Frost, Snow Maiden, director and even spectator! That's exactly what we'll talk about! We'll try to write old new year script for children. What is required of us is neither more nor less, but a sea of fun and a river of positivity! But there's also something else. This is where I will be happy to help you.

  • Plot ideas;
  • Music selection;
  • Games and competitions;
  • Rehearsal.

Each point is a piece of the mosaic. All together and will amount to naughty holiday script, which we will arrange for our little ones.

Ideas for a fun story

We need a story. It would be nice to choose it based on your children. Namely:

  • How many are there;
  • Age of babies;
  • Interests of kids.

How will all this affect the script? And one more important point that is worth clarifying: what if the difference between the children is rather large. After all, what for older children I wonder if it might be completely incomprehensible to kids? Let's go in order!

Let's start with dumplings. Just a joke... Or not? I think kids will love dumplings with surprises that predict the future. Such dumplings are prepared precisely on the eve of the old New Year.

Age. The duration of the program will depend on this. This means what you will have time to show and do, and how to “build” event.

Interests. This is the key point of what to show and tell the kids about, what characters will participate in the program and what fairy tale/story you will take as a basis.

The advantage of having several children, and one of them being older, is that you can let him in on the secret and ask him to choose a story. He will have to adjust it so that game program was diverse and involved all participants.

Of course, responsibility still lies with adults, remember this and do not demand more from toddlers than they can or want to give.

What ideas are always relevant:

  • Festival in the forest for animals;
  • Fun in a small fairy kingdom;
  • A musical evening or one where everyone will be familiar with the sounds old poems and songs;
  • Based on your favorite cartoon or book.

It is not necessary to follow exactly the plot of a fairy tale story or your script. If there is a slight glitch, that’s not bad, it means everyone was interested and everyone contributed.

Matching music selection

Don’t forget that from the very beginning, from the appearance of Father Frost and the Snow Maiden, appropriate sounds should sound songs. Give this some of your attention. After you decide on the basic concept of your fun surprise for the kids, find and download the music you want to use.

It's good if it goes in several directions. For example, carols, or rather schedrivki (they give generously on the old New Year), then the children will be able to sing along. Or dancing, to give a little warm-up in the middle of the evening; The kids won't get bored and will be able to jump and run around to their heart's content.

Games, riddles and competitions

In the first half of the evening you need to activate the little ones. They will help with this games. There should be several of them and each should last 10-15 minutes, no more.

What could it be:

  • Round dances;
  • Competitions and guessing riddles from Santa Claus;
  • Games. For example, playing snowballs in the yard or playing paper snowballs at home. A great idea with the game “Crocodile”, if you choose a New Year’s theme.

Replace active activities with calmer, but no less interesting ones. This is drawing a portrait of Santa Claus. And also, the kids probably prepared poetry for a holiday and they want to tell them? Great!

Rehearsal

Of course, the event itself is a secret, and no one wants to reveal it ahead of time. But this does not mean that rehearsal is not needed. For example, ask the little one to tell you a poem or sing a song that they prepared for the Snow Maiden. And take care of the costumes and decorations yourself. And let everything be simple, done by you yourself, but the main thing is that you tried, and your apartment will turn into an improvised theater for this time!

Remember what else is needed for everything to work out great? Mood! It is advisable not to play it, but to have it! Then it will be passed on to the little ones. Therefore, try to look at the event that you want to organize for the little ones as a gift for them. Do you like giving gifts? This is exactly the gift your children will receive. And believe me, they will remember and appreciate it. And they will tell all their friends about it. And you will become the best dad and mom for them. And this is the main thing!

I really hope everything works out for you. If you have any questions or suggestions, write! We are all working together to create the best portal for parents and children. And you can actively participate in this if you subscribe to the news and leave your comment. I invite you, your family, friends and acquaintances to visit the site to get ideas and share your thoughts.

And now I say goodbye, but I hope not for long. Bye bye!

Oh yes, as I promised examples of competitions

Competitions for preschoolers

Confusion

The presenter, most likely Santa Claus, announces that now is the time to remember body parts. The essence of the competition is that the presenter names a certain part of the body and touches it, the children must immediately touch the named part of the body on their own. For example, the presenter calls “left hand” and immediately all the children take hold of their left hand. After several correct actions, the leader should try to confuse the children by calling, for example, the right ear and instantly touching the forehead. Children who automatically repeat the mistake after the leader are eliminated from the game. The winner remains the most attentive, dexterous and fastest.

Best gift

For each child, the teacher prepares cardboard boxes (gifts) and identical sets (glue, rain, paper, children's scissors, markers, ribbons, and so on). Each of the children should make a bright and beautiful gift from the box. And so that no one remains in the shadows, everyone receives prizes, only in different categories: the brightest gift, the most interesting gift, the most unusual gift, and so on.

Who is better than Picasso

All children love to draw. For this competition you need to prepare multi-colored pencils, markers or even paints. Two easels or two plain sheets of paper on a table and two blindfolded participants. Before the start, the theme of the drawing is announced, for example, “A Christmas tree was born in the forest.” And each of the participants begins to create. He draws a song on canvas - a Christmas tree, a cowardly bunny, an angry wolf, in general, everything he remembers. The first pair of participants is replaced by the second and so on. By the clapping of the audience you can determine the best drawing, the best artist.

Who can color faster?

Divide the children into teams, give pencils, markers or even paints and printouts - coloring books. The more children, the more complex the drawing. Whichever team paints faster and more accurately will win. Printable coloring pages - click to enlarge.

What does Santa Claus have in his bag?

Any child loves to solve riddles. To conduct this competition, you will need to prepare a Santa Claus bag with certain contents that will be the answers to the riddles. Santa Claus asks a riddle, the child who first raised his hand and gave the correct answer receives what he guessed, for example:
- gray in summer, white in winter, but always oblique (bunny). Santa Claus takes a toy or chocolate bunny out of a bag and hands it to the participant who gave the correct answer;
- they hit, but it doesn’t hurt, they walk, but not for real (hours). The prize could be a toy wristwatch;
- it has a star, but not in the sky, there are balloons, but not air ones, bright rain, but not real (holiday Christmas tree). Prize - a magnet or a souvenir in the form of a Christmas tree;
- this is how they can affectionately call bread and delicious sweets with or without filling (bar);
- when they hit him, it doesn’t hurt him, on the contrary, he is happy about it (ball);
- it lies beautifully, glistens in the sun, but if you take it in your hands, it will become wet (snow). The prize is a cracker or a snowflake.

Lucky catch

Participants are divided into two teams and line up in two rows. Each team needs one person who will stand at a certain distance from the rest of the guys on their team, about a couple of meters, and hold the bag. Each of the team members will take turns throwing the ball (bouncy ball, candy or other object) handed to him. The team that has fewer misses and, accordingly, a larger catch wins.

Friends of Santa Claus

The presenter invites the children to remember who can be a friend of Santa Claus and takes turns calling a chain of words, for example, hippopotamus, deer, crocodile, giraffe. And the children must name the correct answer, that is, Santa Claus’s friend is a deer. The most active child gets a prize. Examples, scarecrow, snowman, Baba Yaga; herringbone, oak tree, birch tree; sleeping beauty, snow maiden, cinderella and so on.

New Year's song (for kids)

The chairs form a circle, with the seats facing outwards, there should be 1 less of them than the participants. Children stand in a circle and walk in a circle to New Year's songs. When the music stops, children should sit in their chairs. One hero does not have enough chair, the Snow Maiden takes him as her assistant. One chair is removed and the competition continues.

Magic songs

Children stand in a circle and take turns calling songs that mention winter, New Year and New Year's characters (Santa Claus, Snow Maiden, snowflakes, and so on). Anyone who cannot name the song is eliminated from the game and receives a consolation prize. And the winner will receive the main gift. Children of kindergarten age know many songs from cartoons, for example, “If only there were no winter”, “The little Christmas tree is cold in winter”, “My best gift is you”, “Umka’s Song”, “Three White Horses” and so on, so the competition It will turn out to be cheerful and lively.

New Year's drawing

Each child is given a piece of paper and pencils, and everyone begins to draw their own picture of “How I See the New Year.” Then, one by one, the guys show their drawings with a fictitious name. And, in order not to offend any of the guys, you need to prepare prizes or medals in advance with different nominations, for example, “bright artist”, “impressionist”, “creative artist”, “magic artist” and so on. The children will be pleased to surprise everyone with their New Year's drawings and receive their prizes.

Competitions for school-age children

The neighbor's is better!

The already traditional New Year's competition, however, is loved by children, because here you can fool around. So, everyone stands around the tree. The presenter asks: “Do you have ears?” The children answer in chorus: “Yes!” Question again: “Are your ears good?” Children: “Good!” presenter: “What about the neighbor?” And the delighted children scream: “Better!” And he grabs the neighbor on the right and left by the ears. And then the round dance begins. It’s so fashionable to go through all the parts of the body, and the children will rejoice.

Deputies of Santa Claus

Each of the children takes turns naming what he asked from Santa Claus, and the rest of the children must give it to their friend, that is, depict this object with the power of arms, legs and possible objects located nearby. It will be interesting how a group of guys will turn themselves into a car, for example, or one of the guys will become a telephone, or a dog, or something or someone else. There will be room for children's imagination to run wild.

Collecting snowballs

You need to create several teams. Prepare so many white balls - these will be snowballs. Take the largest garbage bags and cut off their bottom corners so that your feet can fit through. Now one team member climbs into this huge bag, and the rest, at the command of the leader, collect “snowballs” and put them in the bag. The team with the most snow globes wins.

Princess Nesmeyana

Princess Nesmeyana knows where the Snow Maiden is hidden, but cannot reveal the secret to the children, as she constantly cries. The task of the contestants is to make Nesmeyana laugh with cheerful movements and dances. To complement the bright image, the guys can use funny props.

Confetti

Conducting the competition: Players are divided into several teams of equal age. The participant must move the festive snow confetti. To do this, use adhesive tape to attach plastic cups to your feet, into which you pour a little popcorn or confetti. The players' task is to go the distance without dropping the load. All the “snowflakes” are poured into the bowl.

You can evaluate the competition based on the results of the team competition, as well as highlight the “fastest”, “most organized”, etc. If you use popcorn, you can organize a final weighing if important cargo falls apart along the way.

Find a letter from Santa Claus

For this competition you need to prepare a beautiful letter in an envelope from Santa Claus, where it will be written, for example, “Happy New Year, dear ones.” More high fives and sweets for you. And, if you behave well and also study, I will fulfill your cherished desires. The letter needs to be hidden in one of the offices or in the gym and a small quest must be made, for example, you will find the answer where the current and voltage are, and the team runs to the physics room, and there again a hint on the desk: find something that can attract iron, and the guys are looking for a magnet, there is another note on the magnet: follow the person who is responsible for cleanliness here, and the team runs to the technicians, there they get another hint: look where they won’t let you die of hunger, it’s clear that this is a canteen and so on. To search, the guys can be divided into several teams and whose team can do it faster and find the letter from Santa Claus, that team will win.

At a corporate party on the occasion of the Old New Year, you will need an interesting scenario, which we are happy to provide you with.

Scenario for the Old New Year.

There are laid tables in the hall, at which guests are already sitting. A Christmas tree decorated with toys, tinsel and electric lights adorns one of the side walls. Upon entering the hall, guests received emblems with fairy tale characters. They get used to the character, have found their partners in the fairy tale and together figure out how to beat their heroes.

1. Presenter: We all gathered together again to celebrate the New Year

And as always, at this place we wait, when will Frost come?

He won’t let you down, he’ll definitely come. As soon as the clock strikes 12, he’ll come in with a Happy New Year. I'll tell you one secret. Grandfather lives with us now.

Yes, friends, don't be surprised! He rented our buffet for a while.

Poor girl, she can’t pay the rent alone. And Santa Claus, having learned about this, decided to help the girl.

From a fairy tale, whoever wanted it collected it and immediately settled it nearby

And he paid the entire rent in cash for the buffet. There is one problem with our yacht club: all its walls are glass.

From different fairy tales, the characters of all of them quarreled.

Everyone knows everything - you can’t hide, and you can’t even hide in a corner,

Because the buffet is not large, and there are no free seats on holidays.

The poor Snow Maiden ran away, unable to withstand the intense passions...

Why am I praising you? If you don't believe me, see for yourself!

2. Santa Claus enters the hall with a telegram. He paces back and forth, nervous.

Santa Claus: Ay-ya-ya-ya-ya-ya-ay! Good God, give me strength! What should I do? What a disaster! So Snegurka failed! She gave me a telegram saying that she won’t come to the holiday. See, she has a date, meeting Lel in a restaurant. But Grandfather doesn’t care! All in Spring, damn mother! Damn, she’s also a fidgety girl: she’d flutter forever in love!

Not the hostess - it's just trouble! There's dirt everywhere - but she doesn't care! So what should I do now? How should I go to the holiday? Without the Snow Maiden, what’s the point of letting everyone down on New Year’s Day!

Baba Yaga looks into the hall.

Baba Yaga: Are you alone, Frost? Hello! Lend me a pan, Grandfather.

I'm having a renovation. I forgot what I put where. And I don’t know what to do, I don’t even have anything to cook soup in. If you don’t help, I’ll go hungry again on holidays.

Santa Claus: Listen, Yaga, an idea! Will you go to the club with me? Dress up and, I hope, you will pass for the Snow Maiden.

Baba Yaga: Am I the Snow Maiden? Well, great! What should I do here alone? Well, is the audience decent? I hope they'll give you something to eat?

Santa Claus: Don't worry, they'll feed you. Just don’t let me down, don’t get drunk, be in shape, behave well.

The Witch looks into the hall.

Witch: Hey, Baba Yaga is here! (waves to someone behind the door and fully enters) Look, her name is called, and she’s here sharpening her lasses!

Kikimora enters the hall.

Kikimora: She's fooling us!

She said that she would be alone during the holidays.

Santa Claus: Quiet, women! Don't make any noise, why are you making such a loud noise? It was I who invited her to the Marine Club for the carnival.

Witch: How, Yagu? What kind of grief? You and Snegurka are apparently in a quarrel. What, you couldn’t think better of going to the yacht club with Yaga?

Kikimora: I, Kikimora, what's worse? I'm slimmer, younger, come on, answer, will you take me?

Baba Yaga: No, my dear! He suggested it to me first!

Santa Claus: Damn it, I wish I could live like this! What, how did you break the chain? What, you didn’t have a fight in the forest?

Witch: Grandfather, isn’t it a shame that you chose her from among us?

Kikimora: And he suffered for it: he ran into a scandal!

Santa Claus: But Spring forgave me and immediately forgot the quarrel. And in general, why slander the old man and disgrace me?

Baba Yaga: What are you, what are you, Santa Claus! Not enough tears yet! Let them go instead of me. I'm used to being alone. I’ll sit and get bored on New Year’s Day with a cup of tea.

Santa Claus: Come on, pipes! If you called me, I’ll take you to the carnival. But I wouldn’t call out Kikimora and the Witch for their evil tongue.

Witch: Oh, forgive us, Grandfather! We just don't have the brains. We’ll always blurt out our tongues, but we’ll regret it later.

Kikimora: And now we are not out of malice, just envy let us down.

Santa Claus: Okay, I forgive you, but I don’t know if Yaga will forgive you.

We offer you a possible option for celebrating the Old New Year. This party can be celebrated on January 13 or 14, 2020 with friends, acquaintances or colleagues.

Scenario for celebrating the 2020 Old New Year

The holiday will be opened by the presenters:
- Dear friends! Today we celebrate a holiday with an unusual name - Old New Year. It has been celebrated for about a hundred years - since 1918, after the introduction of the Gregorian calendar in our country.

“For a long time, people have said goodbye to the outgoing year, trying to forget about all their failures and troubles. They left everything bad in the past, and when celebrating the New Year, they expected it to bring prosperity, fulfillment of desires, and good friends.

– In Rus', January 14 has been celebrated since ancient times as the Day of Remembrance of St. Basil the Great, and the evening before was called Vasilyev. He was endowed with special magical powers and was even considered prophetic.
So, a magical evening of fortune-telling and wish fulfillment begins.

Then, according to the scenario of the Old New Year party, the following poems will be read:

- Make a cherished wish
On this holiday - Old New Year,
So that the forces are kind and bright
Everything could be done without hassle!

May you be lucky in matters of varying complexity
And, of course, you are lucky in love,
So that a hundred opportunities arise
Love the bright year that has come!

Then Santa Claus appears at the holiday with a bag of gifts. Celebrating the Old New Year party according to the script will continue fortune telling. Each participant must take an object out of the bag.

The presenter explains their meaning:

  • Ring - a successful marriage;
  • The candy foretells a sweet life next year. Possible weight gain;
  • Moteta – financial well-being;
  • Thread - for travel;
  • Rattle - replenishment of the family;
  • A pod of red pepper - passions will be in full swing;
  • Fabric or button - many interesting new things, long-awaited purchases.
  • "Career growth awaits you"
  • “The coming year is a great time for studying/advanced training”,
  • “Business trips will be profitable”
  • and so on.

Further, according to the scenario of the Old New Year party, fun games and competitions can follow.
For example, in the game of forfeits, guests take tickets from a basket with tasks - to sing a song, a ditty, read a poem or perform a dance. All participants receive small prizes.

And at the end of the Old New Year party, Santa Claus will light the lights on the tree and read a poem:

Old New Year -
Attempt number two.
The holiday has come again
It's time to make a wish
wishes that you
Forgot to make a wish
And again the lights
Light up the Christmas tree.
And let this time
Everything will work out,
Love and happiness to you
They'll make you happy too.

This party is fun to have with a lot of friends. It will be more interesting if some guests do not know each other and are meeting for the first time. Gifts that are customary to give for the New Year can be played in a lottery. In order for your guests to be delighted with gifts, it is advisable to know in advance what they want. Gifts can be either real or fake, depending on your financial capabilities.
Leading.
Today we have gathered on the occasion of the New Year holiday. What is New Year? Since childhood, we know that this is a Christmas tree, Santa Claus and, of course, gifts. In Rus', on this day it was forbidden to quarrel and swear, because it was believed that how you celebrated the New Year would be how you spent the whole year. Therefore, it was always customary to do something nice for people, give gifts, you could tell fortunes, carol, dress up and please friends and acquaintances. Therefore, today we will also have fun and give each other gifts. Under this big tree there are gifts that we will draw in a lottery. Now I will give out numbers to each of the participants. (The numbers can be made comic, for example, with the image of animals symbolizing the sign of the Zodiac. Let everyone take a number with the animal that corresponds to him according to the horoscope). All we have to do is choose the chairman of the circulation commission. So, this honorable position will be occupied by the one mentioned in the riddle:
What would a holiday be without it?
He is an entertainer and a prankster.
Answer this very moment
Who is this? That's right, Santa Claus.
How does she manage everything?
She jokes around and laughs.
Santa Claus is dear...
Guess who? That's right, Snow Maiden.
That's right, how can Father Frost manage without his Snow Maiden. We invite Father Frost and Snow Maiden.
Enter Santa Claus and Snow Maiden. Their role can be fulfilled by one of the friends who knows how to make people happy.
Father Frost.
Hello my dear. I heard here that today I am assigned the role of chairman of the circulation commission. Yes, I am the best candidate for this position. Santa Claus is always a holiday. Today is also a holiday, and it is called International Day of Those Who Want to Get Rich. Please raise your hands, those who in our time do not want to get rich quickly and for a long time? I thought so. And who really wants to do it, raise both hands. A good reason to reward yourself with applause. Of course, everyone wants to get rich today, but fortune does not smile on everyone, I would even say a few. Now, together with the Snow Maiden, we will see if there are any lucky ones among us (Santa Claus takes out a box from the bag). I have in my hands three boxes, not ordinary ones, but with money. To the music, you need to pass them from hand to hand, and when the music stops, the owners of the boxes raise them up.
Music sounds, participants pass boxes to each other.
Father Frost.
I invite the owners of the boxes to come to my place. You are desperately lucky, you are our lucky ones. You are given the opportunity to get rich now. What is our initial or starting capital? One, two, three - look! (The boxes contain fake money). From today you will have a lot of money. After all, the well-known Schopenhauer said that time is money. We give you extra time that will bring you extra money. Keep an alarm clock.
Sounds like a touch. The Snow Maiden presents prizes to the two owners of the boxes and dismisses them from the stage. The third one asks to stay.
Father Frost.
And from today you will also certainly have money. Remembering that money can multiply, we hand you a piggy bank, and in it there is a ruble and a kopeck. You are especially lucky. As they say in Rus': there wasn’t a penny, but suddenly there was an altyn. You are lucky today, so share your luck with others. Open the box and pull out the number. This will be the winning number.
Announces the winning number.
Snow Maiden.
I am sure that the owner of the winning coupon is dizzy because he will now be publicly presented with a Philips hair dryer, which will turn any human head, because that is what it is intended for.
Sounds like a touch.
Father Frost.
Look carefully, I take one magical thing from my magic box. Which one? Look, this thing fits in my hand. What is this? (Someone present will say that this is an egg). That's right, according to popular belief, a chicken is a bird of goodness, and an egg is a symbol of the Universe, peace and wealth. What do you think was especially revered by the people: chicken fluff and feathers or chicken meat (viewers give their own answers). Chicken fluff and feathers were considered by the people to be worthy of special veneration, since they do not like tears. That's why in Rus' they don't cry into their pillows. There is even a sign: “The feather drinks tears, then sends them to sleep!” And you and I won’t have to cry into our pillows today. Now two people will come out to me. The first is the one who correctly guessed the egg, and the second is the one born in the year of the Rooster (Santa Claus gives them two toy wind-up roosters). Hold the roosters and at the command: “No fluff, no feather,” gently wind the toy with a magic key, turn it clockwise three times and at the same time put the roosters on the tray, and we will determine the lucky one.
Energetic music sounds.
Snow Maiden.
There is a popular saying that the happy and rich don’t have chickens to peck (addresses the player whose rooster jumped away earlier). You are our lucky one today, since your cockerel jumped away first. Receive a Bird of Happiness as a gift (addresses the second player), and you will receive a goldfish as a gift, which will fulfill all your wishes in the New Year.
Sounds tight. The Snow Maiden presents prizes.
Father Frost.
I invite the owner of the Bird of Happiness to my box so that he can personally pull out the winning coupon. Our next gift fell on this number. (Depending on who the winning number falls on, you give him his gift).
Sounds like a touch. The Snow Maiden presents the prize.
Father Frost.
The prize was received by (name of the recipient). And our (name) will soon have another holiday: a birthday.
Like Ivan's name day
We baked a loaf.
The guests are thirsty,
Everyone came together for tea.
Yes, tea has been held in high esteem in Rus' since ancient times. Everyone loves tea, but how many of you remember which country is the birthplace of this tonic drink? Kenya, Japan or China? That's right, China! Here is the first erudite. And the inhabitants of which country drink the most tea? Russia, India or China? That's right, India. Which country in the world consumes the largest amount of tea per capita? In Turkey, in Georgia or in the UK? Of course, in the UK. (name) answered all questions accurately. I invite him to my magic box to draw the next lucky number. The winner of the lucky ticket was (name). There is a prize assigned for this ticket... (gives the desired prize).

Father Frost.
It's still January on the calendar. This custom used to be popular in Rus'. If a girl was waiting for a recruit from the army, then a cannon was cast in her honor. Otherwise, after the guy returned, a tree was planted. This, it turns out, is why we still have dense forests and the only Tsar Cannon. Since we're talking about trees, let's test your knowledge in this area.
Flying fluff gets into your nose,
It blooms all June... No, not burdock, but poplar.
On the edge of a cliff growing
Everyone knows this... That's right, willow.
The crown of the berries is all red,
It became a bright winter... No, not a pine tree, but a rowan tree.
Even though the frost crackles in winter -
They are turning green in the parks... Spruce trees.
We have erudites again. Now there are several of them. I invite them all to come closer to me (the winners go to see Santa Claus). Yes, in Rus' wood has always been held in high esteem. After all, household utensils were made from it. With his help, they learned to read and write and had fun on holidays.
Not an ordinary ladle - a painted miracle spoon.
Musical instrument, let's play this moment.
Take spoons in your hands
Yes, follow the music.
Play solo first, and then all together. Whoever the people reward with loud applause is our winner.
The game is on.
Father Frost.
Judging by the amount of applause, I conclude that the victory today is yours and for your talent you will receive a Khokhloma cup (addresses the rest of those present), and for your talent a symbol of warmth and light - a gel candle.
Sounds like a touch. The Snow Maiden presents prizes.
Father Frost.
I think all participants are happy with their gifts. But there’s still something missing on our New Year’s table. What do you think? Of course, what would New Year be without champagne? We all know that if we are talking about more than one bottle of champagne, then they should be stored horizontally in cellars with a certain temperature regime. And if you don’t have such a basement, what to do on New Year’s? Yes, in this case it is better to drink port wine.
The champagne is cooled before serving. Where? In a bucket made of silver or cupronickel. And if in our household you can easily find only a plastic bucket, then what should we do on New Year's Eve? Right. In this case, we'd better drink port.
And they snack on champagne with a sandwich with caviar. And if suddenly you don’t have caviar on hand, what should we do? No, don’t drink port, but use the best complement to champagne as an appetizer - a toast, as light and exciting as this sparkling drink. By the way, about champagne. They say that there are a huge number of varieties and names of this wine. I personally only know “Soviet”, but which one are you ready to name? (Participants say their answers). Here they are, our scholars (calls three experts on stage), who dared to name the brands of champagne. And who in this trio will have to drink? We will find out the answer to this question with the help of two bottles of champagne around which the contenders will hang out.
A game of spin the bottle is playing to the music.
Father Frost.
Alas, fortune is indifferent to you. You join the ranks of referees, and we still have two players and one bottle. Let's play.
The same music sounds, two other players play.
Father Frost.
Now can I tell you that you are holding champagne in your hands.
And your life will be playful.
You will be rewarded with a can of beer.
The Snow Maiden hands over beer.
Snow Maiden.
All today's prizes have been drawn and everyone has received gifts. And now another necessary attribute of the New Year - a festive table. So, we invite you to the table.
Additional games can be used in the scenario.
