Pirate decorations. Costumes for a pirate party

Published by the author - - February 28, 2017

Organizing a party for children in a pirate style is one of the winning options for a bright holiday. After all, almost every child at least once imagined himself as the ruler of the seas. A well-thought-out and prepared holiday can be the best gift for a little birthday boy and his friends. And children's delight and boundless joy will completely repay all the time and effort spent.

It’s probably worth starting with a detailed plan, which may include items such as:

1. Making and sending invitations

Guests receive the very first impression of a party along with an invitation to it, so it is worth paying special attention to ensuring that the invitations intrigue and fascinate with just their appearance. It's not difficult to do this.

There are many options for invitations to a pirate party. You can come up with something of your own, or you can use one of the options below:

If you have very limited time and cannot pay much attention to the invitations, then use social networks: create a group for everyone and post all the necessary information in it.

In addition to the place, time and theme of the event, the invitations should also indicate the requirements for appearance and the password in order to get to the holiday. In addition, the main idea of the holiday can be briefly stated there:

  • treasure hunt;
  • election of the pirate king;
  • solving the mystery of the old pirate;
  • corsair competition and much more.

2. Party location and room preparation

Choosing the right location for a party is already half the success. When choosing, you should consider the number of guests. After all, the more children there are, the more free space they will need. If the party takes place in the summer, then it would be ideal to organize everything somewhere in nature, where there is not only a lot of space, but also greenery, which will serve as a natural decoration for the party. If the event is planned for the cold season, then it is worth finding a fairly spacious cafe.

You can hold a party in a pirate style at home, but only for a narrow circle of guests.

An appropriately decorated interior will help create the right holiday atmosphere. Here you can use more expensive decorations, which are provided by various agencies for organizing holidays, or you can opt for a budget option, doing everything yourself. This does not require large financial investments, and the result will also be excellent.

It would be best to decorate the walls of the room with portraits of famous pirates. You can easily find them on the Internet and print them on regular office paper. It would be appropriate to use several pirate flags in the interior. They can be made from small pieces of black fabric. The design for such a homemade banner can be made temporary (cut out of paper and secured with threads), if you still need the fabric in the future. You can also make it permanent by applying the design with any paint or stationery corrector.

If you find thick ropes, use them too. By hanging them around the room, you can depict the deck of a pirate frigate. A fishing net and an improvised mast are suitable for the same purposes. The latter can be made by tying shorter ones horizontally to a long stick and draping the whole thing with fabric in the form of sails. It would also be a good idea to cut out a steering wheel from old boxes of household appliances and decorate it accordingly.

Don't forget that there should always be treasure in a pirate's lair. Traditionally, it would be nice to place them in a chest, but if you don’t have anything like that, then you can simply spread the fabric on the floor and lay out the impromptu riches there. You can use jewelry, coins, various figurines and gold-plated or simply shiny objects as treasures. At the same time, you can “gild” objects yourself by covering them with foil.

You can also use shells, starfish and seagulls cut out of paper, toy pistols, sabers and much more for decoration.

3. Greeting guests

The holiday itself begins with the greeting of each guest at the entrance.

In order to immediately immerse teenagers in the right atmosphere, you need to meet them in a pirate outfit and ask them to give the password that was indicated in the invitation. For example, the password could be:

  • Thousand devils;
  • An anchor down your throat;
  • Strike me with thunder;
  • Lair of the Sea Devils;
  • Lords of the Seas;
  • Followers of Francis Drake and much more.

Immediately upon entering, you need to decide on a pirate name for each guest and the guild to which he will belong. This can be done using an unusual lottery. It is necessary to prepare in advance leaves with pirate names for guests according to their number. These could be names like:

  • Lanky Jack;
  • Dirty Claw;
  • Bloody Mary;
  • Blackbeard;
  • Ugly Betty;
  • Bob Bootstrap;
  • Kat "Thunderstorm of the Seas";
  • Mad George.

If there are a lot of guests, then to unite them into teams, the name of the pirate guild should also be indicated on the pieces of paper. These could be guilds:

  • Sly Gear Cartel;
  • Rum lovers;
  • Vultures;
  • Sea Rippers;
  • Sea Devils.

4. Holiday menu

Children are a rather capricious group when it comes to food. Therefore, it is worth trying very hard to ensure that the festive table not only pleases them, but also looks in the spirit of a pirate party.

To begin with, labels with the word “rum” should be placed on all bottles of drinks, because not a single pirate gathering took place without this fiery drink. Next, to decorate sandwiches and tartlets, it would be good to use rapier-shaped skewers and toothpicks with black flags attached to them.

You can prepare any salads, but give them new thematic names. For example:

  • "Sea Devil";
  • "Treasures of the Corsair";
  • "Octopus Tentacles";
  • "Pirate Island"
  • "Black Pearl";
  • "The kiss of death".

There should be a lot of fruits. And you can lay them out in a rather original way and in the spirit of the holiday. You can draw pirate faces on banana peels, and use bright napkins to make bandanas for them. You can assemble palm trees from fruits and a long skewer, and stick them into some fruit (apple, pineapple, mango) and place them on the table. You can also make dolphins and other sea creatures from fruits.

And, of course, sweets. A themed cake in the form of a pirate or some kind of sea reptile, in the form of a ship or a desert island. You can use cookies decorated with icing. The drawings can be boats, pirates, Jolly Roger, steering wheels, skulls, chests and even treasure maps.

5. Musical accompaniment

To best highlight the party atmosphere, you will need to select appropriate music. Favorite songs from the cartoon “Treasure Island” and famous compositions from the films “Pirates of the Caribbean” are suitable for this.

6. Scenario for a pirate party “In Search of the Pirate King”

Music and decoration are good, but without an interesting script, the holiday will be boring and mediocre. Therefore, you need to think carefully about all the entertainment and competitions. You can find a ready-made script, or you can come up with your own.

A party with such a theme will be interesting for children, because here they will be able to compete for the title of “King of the Pirates.” To organize it, you will need to stock up on the necessary materials and prepare a facilitator. He must be dressed in all the traditions of sea robbers and make sure that the holiday is fun and cheerful.

Leading:

Greetings to pirate girls and pirates,
On our little frigate.
Today everyone will fight for the right
Become the brave Pirate King!

Today the most notorious and bloodthirsty adventurers have gathered here. On our schooner, over the course of one evening, you will have to go through a series of tests that will help determine the best of you, who will be awarded the title of “King of the Pirates.” For each victory in the competition you will receive a gold doubloon. The one who collects the most doubloons will be the winner. And if this is not so, then the anchor is in my throat!

So let's get started.

A beautiful frigate is sailing on the sea,
And at the helm is a brave pirate.
But there is something wrong with this ship -
The flag is not visible on its mast.

Pirate Flag Competition

For the competition you will need balloons according to the number of participants and the same number of markers or felt-tip pens.

Leading: What's a pirate without a flag? The pirate flag is the calling card of any self-respecting pirate. Each ship has its own unique banner - you won’t find another like it anywhere.

Now you need to come up with and depict your own flag on a balloon. The winner in this competition will be the one who completes the task first and the ball remains intact.

Important: After the competition, the room is decorated with painted balloons. But it is necessary to take into account that if helium balloons were prepared for the competition, then the tail of the ball should be at the bottom while drawing. Accordingly, if ordinary balls were taken, then the tail should be at the top. This is necessary to ensure that the drawing is in the correct position.

Competition "Dance with Death"

For the competition you will need balloons according to the number of participants and fun, energetic music.

Leading:

Pirates are quite brave people,
Who will do any kind of crazy things.
They are loners by nature,
Ready to dance on a keg of gunpowder.

Our next match will be quite explosive. And only the brave and most careful will be able to emerge victorious.

As you know, sea robbers are not only lovers of war, but also of having a lot of fun. And today you will have a dance with death. What could be more deadly than gunpowder on a ship? Especially for this competition, my assistants brought several barrels of black powder here on a boat, but a merciless storm carried them to the bottom of the sea. Therefore, today we will make do with balloons, which are also explosive.

You need to hold the ball between your legs and dance to a fiery song. The one whose balloon bursts flies up into the air, that is, leaves the competition.

Important: There may be more than one winner in this competition. It is also possible that all the contestants’ balls will remain intact.

Competition "Tricky Jack"

For the competition you will need pieces of paper and pens.

Leading:

Pirates are quite a cunning people,
He will steal anything.
For the sake of profit he will deceive anyone,
Even a father or brother.

As you know, a pirate who does not know how to deceive and be cunning is not a pirate. And the Pirate King should master this skill better than anyone else. Therefore, now everyone will write down three facts about themselves on a piece of paper: two true and one false. Your duel opponent must find and name the lie. The winner fights the next participant. And so on until only one remains.

Important: Before the start of the competition, it would be more correct to immediately divide the contestants into pairs so that everyone has equal opportunities.

Competition "Pirate Folklore"

You will need marine proverbs and sayings printed on sheets of paper. In this case, they should be cut in half so that the beginning of the statement is on one half, and the end on the other.

Leading:

Don't put your finger in a pirate's mouth,
Don't wait long for an answer,
He knows thousands of tricky phrases
In the place that puts all of you.

Pirates are known to be masters not only in hand-to-hand combat, but also in verbal combat. They have a huge number of different sayings and proverbs in their arsenal. Now each of you will receive a set of pieces of paper on which the beginning and end of many sea sayings are written separately. You need to connect the pairs correctly as quickly as possible. Whoever does it faster wins. But only on condition that the statements are composed correctly.

Competition "Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum"

You will need glasses and a drink, preferably dark in color.

The pirate likes to relax, of course.
Then he drinks rum energetically.
The holds are empty when he walks -
Every dog knows about this.

Now we will check how quickly you can drink a whole glass of rum (drink). After all, in this activity there are simply no rivals for a true corsair.

On my command, you must take glasses of pirate drink from the table and drink it as quickly as possible. Spilling the precious drink is strictly prohibited. The one who finishes it first wins.

Competition "The Mystery of the Old Pirate"

For the competition you will need pieces of paper with encrypted proposals. And also around the room it is necessary to hang leaflets with the words “GALLEY”, “LATILOON”, “CABIN”, “DECK”, “HOLD” and others.

Leading:

The goal of every pirate is treasure,
Everyone dreams of him: both old and young.
But there are many secrets on the way to it,
Which mind and plan will help you overcome.

It's time to reveal the secret of the old pirate and find out where this goner hid his wealth. He was truly cunning, and therefore encrypted this information by mixing letters in words. If you manage to solve the riddle, you will find out the place where he hid his goods. And as always, whoever is first is the winner of the competition. So, the task:

MIO KORSOSCHAVI NYSRPAAT AN EPBAUL.

(My treasures are hidden on the deck).

MIO KORSOSCHAVI NYSRPAAT AN EKZAUBM.

(My treasures are hidden in the galley).

Leading:

(The doubloons are counted and the Pirate King is determined.)

We will place a crown on your forehead,
We wish you good luck and wealth.
But don’t you dare relax, my friend,
Otherwise you will fall on our own hook.

7. Adventure game “In Search of Treasures”.

The bad pirate is the one who doesn't dream of finding the treasure. Therefore, the main entertainment of the evening can be a treasure hunt. Set up a quest for the children. This is a game where you need to find a hidden object based on clues. Having guessed the clue, participants will find out where the next one is. And so on until they reach the last one, which will lead to the treasured treasure. Preparation involves the following stages:

  1. Selecting hiding places - places where clues will be hidden. Choose wisely so that none of your guests stumble upon them by accident.
  2. Preparation of prompt tasks. The answers in them will be the selected caches. Use riddles from the Internet or come up with your own. For example, a microwave oven can be played out as “A wonderful box warmed our stew” or “Our ship will not be able to sail on its waves, but it will help warm up the meat!” Accordingly, the next clue will be waiting for the participants inside the microwave.
  3. Laying out clues in hiding places according to the invented route. At the end, the coveted prize should await the players. Doesn't have to be expensive. For more excitement, you can hide small gifts such as sweets in hiding places.

If you don’t have enough time to prepare the quest, use the ready-made script from the site

One of the most rewarding holiday themes is the pirate party! Even the merest imagination will run wild here! Why grateful? Because anyone can be a pirate! Boys and girls, fathers and mothers, even grandfather will make a wonderful sea wolf and grandmother will gladly take on the role of the filibuster’s girlfriend!

In this article we will take a closer look at the costumes for such a themed holiday.

1. Pirates, their girlfriends and future sea robbers

Option 1. Lots of little guests.

Small children, for the most part, do not like to change clothes. In this case, it is better to hang suits on hangers. This way, mothers will quickly assess the size and help you dress their children. The procedure will take place without crying and quickly. Everything should be soft and spacious. You can limit yourself to colored bandanas and striped capes. Makeup can be used, but very sparingly, since you will have to endure subsequent washing.

Option 2. Age 4-7 years.

Children 4-7 years old change clothes painlessly and do it with pleasure. But they won’t wear anything - they want to please themselves. The “magic chest” will help us here. We put assorted costumes in it for a pirate party. These are vests, vests, skirts, shorts, hats, bandanas, eye patches. You can put jewelry here: bracelets, rings, clips. We remind children that pirates wear what they stole, and the children will figure out how to divide the “loot” themselves. The main thing is that the presenter monitors the process, promptly providing “interesting things” to those who did not get what they wanted, in order to stop quarrels.

Option 3. 10-12 years.

This will be a little more difficult - children don’t want to be funny. The "magic chest" can work here too. A group of well-known guys will get dressed without any problems. The organizer of the holiday will have to work hard on the motley company. The dressing itself can be thought of as a competition. The contents of the chest can be changed, especially if it is a house party. We leave jewelry, hats and headbands, add scarves, unnecessary T-shirts and... scissors, self-adhesive film, felt-tip pens. And create a pirate costume with your own hands! You can do anything: cut, shred, put patches from film (it’s good if they are already ready and really look like patches), draw on clothes. For children of this age, makeup is appropriate. They will be happy to let you draw a mustache, beard, and black eye, and they won’t have any problems with washing their face later.

Option 4. Teenagers.

A positive group of teenagers will easily dress up in the suggested costumes. You can ask guests to come in vests, stating this in the invitation as a dress code (but you will need to have a couple in stock). And in addition to vests, we use hats, all kinds of headbands, belts and jewelry. And beards - the children have grown up!

Option 5. Adults.

If you can’t buy or rent an outfit, “Crazy Hands” will come to the rescue. What are we going to make? It's a pirate party! Do you remember the costumes of sea robbers from the films? Let's start with the shirt.

White shirt with wide sleeves you will have to sew, to complement it with a frock coat or vest. The vest can be anything: long or short. Pants will cause the least trouble. Anything that isn't jeans is fine. A neckerchief, rings, baubles, huge earrings and belts are welcome! It's good if you can find suitable boots or their imitation. And don’t forget to arm yourself, even if you have a musket, saber or hook in your hands. Entertainers can complement the outfit with a crutch, but it is only good for a photo shoot. There are many costume options. A vest can replace a shirt. Boots - striped knee socks and boots with homemade buckles. We'll talk about hats later.

In the photo above you can see an approximate “sea wolf” costume.

His girlfriend might be dressed the same way, but...she’s a woman, which means it’s not that simple. We can leave the vest, or we can replace it with a flirty blouse with bare shoulders or a shirt with a knot under the chest, complement it with a corset, change the pants for a skirt, put on comfortable shoes (the brave ones can wear heels, but pirates have a wild holiday and this needs to be remembered) . The final touch is to decorate ourselves with “gold and diamonds.” This is how the female corsair's girlfriend costume is born.

Now to the hats. Here we choose from a cocked hat, a hat with a feather, a bandana, and various headbands. You can try a combination of several items or completely change your appearance with a wig. The main thing is not to be afraid of seeming ridiculous.

2. From theory to practice or everything that cannot be bought can be made

Making a hat.

By enlarging the pattern and printing it on a color printer, we get a magnificent pirate hat.

You can do the same with an eye patch, but it is better to make it from leather or other fabric material. It will be more comfortable for you to wear. You can decorate the eyecup with an applique of self-adhesive film or glue a picture with double-sided tape.

Your guests will definitely love these preparations for a photo shoot.

They are sold as a themed set in the store, but they are easy to make yourself from paper, felt, and kebab sticks.

If you really want to have a costume, but you don’t have enough time, imagination or direct hands, buy a ready-made outfit online or rent it at a local theater.

Don't forget that a costume is the first and very important step in creating a festive mood, providing fun memories and cool photos!

3. Dressing the room

The pirate stole what he put on! Therefore, everything should be bright and catchy. But since we are not cooking, it is better to choose a real pirate color scheme. Our colors will be red, black and white. They will be diluted with blue and yellow.

How will we decorate the room where the holiday will take place? Flags would be appropriate here - we are on a ship. They can be with pirate symbols, with sea creatures or with congratulations. Red and black or red and white balloon garlands look great! Even if there is not much space, add nautical attributes: a steering wheel (on the wall), masts (wall bars), etc., and if space allows, you can also put up a model of a ship (made of balloons or cardboard), guests will be happy to take pictures here .

4. Decorate the table

Next is the suit for the table. While preparing a pirate party for my son, I went through a bunch of options, made a hodgepodge of what I saw, and settled on this. The table was covered with a black tablecloth, next to each guest was a bright red napkin with a pirate mark on it and a stand for paper napkins.

The far edge of the table was decorated with a fishing net, a box with shiny decorations, and a model of a sailboat. The installation attracted attention and was truly a table decoration. Further optional: “Rum” stickers on bottles, boxes with a surprise for each guest and other little things. It all depends on the age and interests of those celebrating.

A fair wind, a hold full of treasures and no dull everyday life - continuous adventures. Yes, sometimes exciting, but it’s even more fun! And after the on-screen acquaintance with Jack Sparrow, a pirate party for adults has become almost the most favorite holiday theme for Halloween, birthdays, corporate meetings and even weddings!

Decor

To start decide what the design will be - cartoon or cinematic. In the first case, almost all the scenery will have to be drawn, cut, and painted. Cartoon attributes for a pirate party are available in stores - garlands, disposable tableware, flags, boats, etc.

This is a more economical option when you just want to have fun with friends without carefully thinking through decorations. Perfect for a family party with many children. Read more.

If we are talking about a party in the style of pirates of the Caribbean, the design is supposed to be more realistic. This does not mean that you need to completely abandon bright holiday paraphernalia. It’s just that the interior should end up looking more like a scene from a movie than like a kindergarten hall hung with colorful decorations.

The colors of the evening are black, white-red and white-blue stripes, red and blue, brown. Some attributes can be decorated with “precious” stones. The interior should have silver and gold - spray paint, glitter.

Easy to implement ideas for a pirate party:

  • remove everything that obviously does not fit into the topic. Cover anything that is difficult to remove. For this print and glue (or draw) ships, chests, etc. onto thick cardboard. Replace inappropriate paintings with photos, movie posters, Jolly Roger flags, sails, fishing nets;
  • the ceiling can be covered with pieces of fabric hanging freely in waves - the same imitation of nets and/or sails;
  • It is advisable to choose rough, wooden or wicker furniture. Instead of chairs, benches, stools without backs and even drawers will fit perfectly;

If the comfortable arrangement of guests is a priority, drape regular armchairs. For a party in a pirate style, chiffon, tulle, burlap, nets - tulle, painting, mosquito nets - are suitable.

  • tie nautical knots from thick ropes, hang on the walls, backs of chairs, ceiling. On the net here and there, attach seahorses and stars, crabs, fish, algae;

  • arrange barrels, roughly knocked together boxes, fake guns. You can place forged lanterns, treats in large bowls, and deliberately dirty bottles of rum on the barrel boxes;
  • certainly use candles in decoration, you can simulate it on batteries. “Antique” candlesticks are easy to make with your own hands, for example, from aluminum cans (painted with silver/gold). Candles in “dirty” bowls, glass jars with shells and sand look atmospheric;

  • if you decide to organize a pirate party for Halloween, don’t skimp on the dark details – skeletons, cobwebs and spiders, bats, creepy sea monsters, gravestones, ghosts (cardboard, figures, silhouettes);
  • make anchors and lifebuoys out of cardboard/plywood, hang and display old maps. It would be great if you could find a marine compass, a telescope, a sextant, a barometer, or a telescope. If not, print the photo, cut it out and glue it onto a cardboard base;

  • use fake precious stones, pearls, silverware in compositions, coins and ancient jewelry, symbolizing countless treasures. Place the most valuable loot in chests. A real pirate chest is still an anachronism, so it’s better to spend time gluing a paper/cardboard template. Although, if you wish, you can put together a pirate chest from a base box or plywood, chipboard. Boxes are also suitable - carved wooden ones, without colorful designs.

  • Even though this is an adult pirate party, without bright holiday accents the decor will turn out too gloomy. Add some color:
    • garlands of recognizable paraphernalia and pirate accessories - ships, flags, anchors, skeletons, pirate figures, weapons, sea monsters;
    • knotted ribbon decoration on a clothesline or sisal rope (imitation rope) they will enliven the space (the fabric is better striped, blue or red and white, plus flags with a skull/crossbones);
    • buy stylized balloons or draw themed attributes on red, black, blue balloons.

Photozone

  • If you are having a party outdoors, build a “facade” of a pirate ship from scrap materials. Place stools in the back for guests to step onto the deck. Cut out porthole windows in the side.

  • Tantamaresca- a gallant company of pirates celebrates a successful voyage, divides the loot, etc. Cardboard base, printed on top, windows for faces. Or organize the space - the scenery for the chosen scene.
  • Boat on a blue background with clouds. In the foreground of the photo zone are paper wings of waves. We climb inside, take pirate accessories - a map, a telescope, a bottle of rum (whatever).

  • Banner with photos of movie pirates, Pirates of the Caribbean is especially popular. You can print repeated photos of characters or your favorite movie scene on the banner.
  • The Black Pearl's cabin, captain's bridge, etc. More suitable for indoor party. Although you can organize it on the street, only the background will have to be covered with wooden shields or the photo zone should be placed against the wall of a house, barn, or in front of a fence.

Invitations

It's great if invitations to a pirate party reflect the level of preparation for the holiday. If the decorations are simple and cartoonish, so should the invitations.

All at the highest level? Aged paper, elegant antique font, pearls, silver.

  • rolled up message in a sealed bottle with shells and stones;
  • paper pirate schooner, matches, wooden model. Text on the sail or in the hold;
  • card with burnt, frayed edges. Schematic diagram of the road to the party venue (mark several main points along the way). Text over background map;
  • Black Mark. Text on the postcard spread;
  • miniature paper chests. The text is on the letter inside, in a scattering of chocolate coins and candies in foil.

Come up with pirate nicknames for your guests if this moment is not included in the script. Include pirate slang and recognizable phrases in the invitation. Write the time, place, dress code and other official information in the corner below or on the card included with the invitation.

On the sixth day, a company of the most notorious pirates gathers on the deck of *Name of the ship, cafe*. And you are among them, *Guest name*
There will be something to fill the holds and wet the throat. Let's shake the bones in the company of young and very generous girls. Sea urchin in your ass if you don't come!
P.S: There are rumors that, in addition to drinking until the hell out of hell, old *Name of the organizer* is preparing an exciting and profitable business for us!

Suits

Girls dressed as ladies - retro dress and hairstyle, elegant, brand new. Or a tomboy, a seductive bandit - torn stockings, fishnet suspenders, a short retro skirt, a corset with a deep neckline, a creative mess on her head, bright makeup.

Costumes in unisex style are perfect for a pirate party. Forgetting for a moment about the stupid story about women on ships, ladies can transform into the most charming crew members. In this case, the clothing differs only in design from a men’s pirate costume - it is more open and not so baggy.

Options:

  • vest with blue or red stripes. For girls - with a deep neckline, lowered on one shoulder, tied under the chest with a knot, etc.;
  • Image of a pirate girl easy to recreate from a couple of clothing items: a short dress with a deep neckline, a full skirt and wide sleeves, over which a fitted leather sleeveless vest is thrown or a miniature corset is worn. Themed accessories will complete the look.
  • white or cream shirt. The sleeves are loose, preferably with puffy cuffs. “Pirate” cuffs and frills can be easily sewn with your own hands or assembled with an elastic band (worn as a bracelet, fastened with buttons, eyelets, etc.);

  • not suitable for outdoor heat pirate frock coat, camisole, vest, leather cloak. But indoors/in the sun they are cumbersome. It's better to take a couple of photos and take off your outerwear. Or let this part of the costume be made of light fabric, fake;
  • shortened breeches, like Jack Sparrow's. Baggy pants, loose, tucked into boots. Leather trousers, for ladies - narrow, tight. Boots with high tops, fabric ones are more convenient: sew fake tops directly to the trousers. For girls, short boots or high-heeled shoes are suitable. Thick knee socks and closed shoes in color will pass for over the knee boots.

Clothes can have holes in several places, become disheveled, and become worn out. This way the image will turn out to be more natural - a well-worn camisole, an unwashed shirt, trampled boots. Transferable tattoos are also in the theme.

Enthusiasts willing to take the time to create an elaborate costume have plenty to choose from: William Ternet, Billy Bootstrap, Tia Dalma, Elizabeth Swan, Davy Jones, Mister Cotton. And that's just Pirates of the Caribbean!

Accessories for a pirate-themed party play almost a bigger role than costumes. They are the ones who make the chosen image unambiguous and recognizable:

  • pistols, saber or sword, knife. Shoulder belt, scabbard;
  • compass, telescope, watch on a chain;
  • a wide sling (a scarf will do, maybe a bright one with fringe);
  • leather belt with a buckle (you can have two at once, like Jack Sparrow);
  • neck scarf, bandana, eye patch, cocked hat;
  • stylized jewelry (large rings, hoop earrings, skulls and bones);
  • various little things in the hair, on the belt, wrists. Talismans, amulets made of skins, bones, fabric, beads.

Menu, serving

Simple table decoration ideas for a pirate party:

  • Shared buffet table. Cover with a tablecloth and put on a net. Decorate the “skirt” of the tablecloth with steering wheels, anchors, and ropes. Place the mast with sails in the center of the table or on the back wall, in the background. If there is no room for a mast, you can place the “sail” horizontally, in waves directly above the table, under the ceiling.

  • Several country tables with sticks for installing sun umbrellas. But instead of umbrellas, build masts-sails. Come up with a name for each ship table and sew it on the tablecloth on the front side of the “side”.
  • Move a large table to the wall, cover it to the floor with burlap or thick fabric. Place boxes and barrels on top - several tiers, chaotically. And on them are plates and dishes with snacks, bottles, cans instead of glasses(port surroundings or hold).

  • Choose dishes based on your level of preparation and the importance of the event. These can be stylized paper plates, glasses, glass and crystal, or “silver” - cups, trays, “antique” cutlery.
  • Use pirate flags and other recognizable paraphernalia to decorate skewers, tubes, serving cups. It’s easier to lay out/post cards beautifully than to rack your brains over the thematic design of each dish.

  • Several barrels with taps and globe bar will fit perfectly into the theme.
  • Buy ice molds – skulls, bones, balls, fish, boats, diamonds. You can replace them with molds for chocolate and baking.
  • Are you having a pirate party for Halloween? Be sure to use watermelons, melons and pumpkins to decorate the hall and for serving any dishes (bowls of halves).

  • For a pirate birthday, order a cake in a recognizable style. Islands, treasure chests, ships, etc. An unforgettable surprise for the birthday boy and all the guests!
  • Place sweets in cardboard chests and boats, in decorated transparent jars, vases. Buy a lot of candies in multi-colored foil (precious stones, in bulk), chocolate bars (also in foil - ingots). Make flags, anchors, steering wheels, etc. from mastic, decorate cupcakes, cakes, and cookies.

For added ambience, include a large whole baked fish and seafood in the pirate menu. The rest is up to your taste. Sliced vegetables, fruits, any salads. A buffet is ideal when plans include active fun, games, and dancing. Canapés, miniature sandwiches, snacks in baskets and vases, kebabs themselves are a bright decoration for the table.

Any drinks are available, but for atmosphere, you can put a few bottles of rum on the table. Print out the “vintage” labels and re-glue them. You can “age” the bottles themselves - dust them, wrap the necks with twine, and glue them with themed decor.

Since this is an adult pirate party, there is no point in fiddling with each dish for a long time. But Some of the appetizers from the menu can be served in “boats” and the “sails” raised. Making a boat with your own hands is very simple. You need a skewer (mast), a board and a sail. Boat - an empty half of a cucumber, an orange, an egg, diamond-shaped bread, a basket, etc. Any filling inside, a sail on a skewer - lettuce, shrimp, a thin slice of cheese, ham, cucumber.

Entertainment

When choosing a scenario for a pirate party for adults, consider the space available to guests. For example, it is better to organize a treasure hunt on a map in nature. Those. literally look for a place marked with a cross, walking nearby and completing quest after quest. Treasures can also be hidden indoors. But if there is not enough space, you won’t be able to roam around much. This means that the quest itself and the competitions must be feasible on the spot.

Pirate scenario options:

  • With the invitation, each guest also receives a piece of a pirate map. Arriving at the party guests put them together into a map with marked points. Tags are games and competitions that “lead” to a hidden chest;
  • The card is torn and lost. Guests complete tasks, receiving a reward for each competition - another fragment. At the end, they fold the card and simply go to the chest;

Theme songs and music for a pirate party will come in handy during competitions. Download several songs from films and cartoons, make cuts. And you can dance and relax to any fiery music, especially since there are not many pirate songs that are truly suitable for a party.

  • Instead of cards, games are rewarded with message fragments. For example, “The treasure is buried under the palm tree.” Cut the text into as many pieces as are provided for in the competition. The chest is placed in a box and in the far corner of the room. And above the box or in front of it is a cardboard “landmark”. In our example, this is a palm tree. You can come up with a riddle instead of a direct indication: “The treasure is where two pirates anchored together.” In pirate slang, “anchors came together” - they fought, i.e. You need to glue a picture of two fighting pirates onto the box.
  • Several teams are fighting for the right to open the treasury. Suitable for large parties, when there are at least a couple of dozen “pirates”;
  • The chest contains rewards with price tags. For each competition, the winners are awarded gold coins, doubloons or black marks. At the end, the accumulated wealth can be spent on gifts from the “dead man's chest”.

Regardless of the chosen scenario, you can schedule both team and solo competitions. If the plot does not provide for division into teams, simply play out this moment, for example, as training for a close-knit pirate gang.

Any competitions will fit into the scenario of a pirate party, for adults (in pairs, far from puritanical - according to the mood of the company) or for children, slightly modified in accordance with the theme. Use pirate slang and nicknames to create an atmosphere:

Moor - sit down
Shake your bones - dance
Fill the hold - have a snack
Where can you whisper with the Jolly Roger? - where is the toilet?
It's stormy in the hold - I'm drunk

Initiation into pirates

Leading: to become a real pirate, it’s not enough to be able to rip your throat, fill your tonsils and drag everything that’s not lying around into the hold. Anchor to my liver if I'm wrong! Every pirate is also obliged to maintain order on the ship! We're not cesspool rats!

Divide the floor into two sections using masking tape or another mark. Scatter balloons and crumpled newspapers. Provide guests with mops. Two teams, on either side of the dividing line. The goal is to throw “garbage” from your “deck” onto your neighbors’ board. For three minutes, guests push “garbage” back and forth with mops to a cheerful song. At the end, you need to evaluate the “cleanliness of the ship” of each team.

Aboard

IN: Is it difficult to board a combat frigate without preparation? No? Well, let's see if you are sea devils or boiled jellyfish!

Two chairs, two teams. The goal is to climb onto someone else’s chair-ship in a minute. The team whose members were able to fit on the enemy “frigate” in greater numbers wins.

Friendly duel

IN: Hey, on deck! How many holds can be filled? Let's see how you draw with sabers. Otherwise, all the brave ones grind their tongues, but when it comes to it, the fry are inept!

A thin board or bench, a fake weapon. The two wave their sabers, trying to throw the enemy to the floor. The loser gives way to the next pirate.

Not just a battle

IN: You know how to swing mops and sabers, I admit. Well, how will there be nothing to scrub and no one to compare the length of knives with? What if Fortune turns its back on you and throws you onto an uninhabited island?

For a pirate-themed birthday party, you can rent equipment and play “pirates VS savages” paintball. An easier option is to get food on a desert island:

  • darts-spears at the target;
  • rings on hooks suspended on the shield;
  • from a bow with suction cup arrows into the prey (the gunpowder got wet, I have to use the “grandfather’s” method);
  • throw a lasso on mops in a bucket (glue a fake deer head to the mop);
  • any other way to test the pirate's accuracy, depending on the location of the party.

The elbow is close

IN: It’s not for me to tell you how often several worthy teams of thugs and notorious scoundrels travel along the same route. Competition, so that it would be torn apart... And there are less unexcavated treasures left than worthy young ladies in the port at night... I’m grinding something with my tongue like a drunken boatswain, thunder strike me! Let's dig it up already!

A large basin with sand and buried treasure - any shiny nonsense. The goal is to use a teaspoon (or Chinese chopsticks?) to get more treasures than your opponents in a minute. You can do it in teams or every man for himself.

One leg is good!

IN: The pirate, unprepared for any losses, has rotten cuttlefish ink instead of brains! There *pirate nickname of the blindfolded guest* lost his eye, and nothing happened - invigorating! What if he blows out his leg with a cannonball? Let's see how you cope with such a twist!

Relay race, two teams racing or all together. At the finish line there is a chair with a bottle and glasses. On the bottle is the label “Rum – life-giving drink!” The guest bends one leg and jumps to the finish line, leaning on a crutch or cane (for decoration). Having reached the stool, he pours and drinks the “life-giving drink” - the leg grows back! I ran back and passed the crutch to the next one. If you're having a pirate birthday, have all the party guests toast before the "healing."

Frigate Regatta

IN: All that remains is to test the strength of the pirate spirit. Davy Jones, an anchor in his throat, lets the weak ones go in packs as food for the fish!

Miniature paper boats, start-finish on a smooth surface. You need to blow on your boat so that it “sails” to the finish line before the others. You can use teams of two large ships and all together blow into the “sails” of your frigate.

Where does the rum go all the time? (c) Jack Sparrow

IN: Yo-ho-ho, honorable pirates! I have no more doubts that only the most notorious swindlers, tricksters and other filibusters have gathered here! Let's drink to the dregs for this!

Two teams and two big bowls. Or every man for himself - a large plastic glass. You need to quickly empty the container (it’s funnier through a straw).

Quizzes, table games (minutes of rest)

  • untie sea knots at speed;
  • solve riddles on a maritime and pirate theme;
  • decipher pirate slang (phrases, phrases, curses);
  • test on knowledge of the film “Pirates of the Caribbean” or just pirate life;
  • funny questions and answers. Only one option is correct, the remaining two are absurd. What was the name of J. Sparrow's ship: Devil's Dozen, Black Pearl or Salty Beluzhina? Using a rhyme generator, it’s easy to come up with as many of these questions/answers as you want.

At the end of the scenario - “dig” and open the chest, divide the treasures(themed gifts, medals “The Most Notorious Pirate”). If the party is in honor of a birthday, ceremoniously bring out a pirate cake - a surprise from the cook. You can arrange an explosion at a powder warehouse (fireworks) or a rain of money (paper show).

The adventurism and courage of pirates has always attracted adventure lovers. And let it be generally accepted that these sea wolves are dangerous and even evil. But their intelligence, code of honor, and love of entertainment will always be the white side of the coin. That's why kids love to imitate pirates, looking for treasures and waving wooden swords during street battles and battles.

So why not give this “pirate gang” a real adventurous children’s pirate party, full of delight, laughter and adventure. After all, this is not so difficult to do if you pay attention to everything, from the invitation and menu, costumes and decoration, to interesting competitions, games, quizzes and, of course, a photo shoot.

Holiday dress code: pirate party for children, DIY costumes

What are pirates without stylized costumes? It is the special clothing and accessories that distinguish these sea rascals from other seafarers.

If your child has been invited to a pirate festival for children or you yourself are the initiator of this original sabantuy, take care of the children's costume and accessories in advance.

For a pirate party, preparing an original costume is not so difficult.

You can use any imitation of clothing worn by real sea wolves in the form of a pirate black bandana, vest, or T-shirts with stripes.

A black eye patch, as well as hoop earrings and wide belts with huge buckles, on which you can attach a dagger, a sword, and a pistol, will also look original.

You can use over-the-knee boots, a vest, and a wide hat. For the leader of a sea gang you will need a smoking pipe and a cane.

Be sure to stock up on an extra set of clothes, in case one of the kids comes to the party without a suit.

He, of course, does not want to look like a black sheep among a cheerful pirate company. To do this, you can simply purchase black film.

Thanks to this material, you can quickly transform a guest into a real brave sailor. To do this, you need to cut out a rectangle from the film, make a hole in it for the head, and cut the edges of this peculiar cloak with scissors to make a fringe.

We attach a skull and crossbones on top, tighten the cape with a belt, give the child a bandana or an eye patch, and the newly-made pirate is ready.

An eye patch can be made from black tape, securing a circle of thick fabric or paper in place of the eye. You can make a skull and crossbones from regular white landscape paper.

How to dress a girl for a pirate party? Girls can use a large vest, which they need to wear instead of a dress for graduation. We complement the suit with a wide belt, fishnet tights and high boots. You will also have to work with your hair, creating a creative mess. Gold chains and huge earrings will help complete the look.

For a pirate party for children, prepare additional accessories. Children's binoculars and spotting scopes are suitable for this. Stock up on sabers, pistols and other children's weapons.

On this holiday it is not forbidden to use body paints. It is thanks to the use of body art techniques that you can create unique images. And the kids will remember this unusual fun for a long time.

Invitations to a pirate party for children: invitation text

Involve your child in decorating an unusual party. For children, joint creativity with their parents has a special meaning and brings them incredibly closer together.

To invite friends to a pirate party, it’s not enough just to call the phone and warn your parents.

Be sure to prepare an original invitation for your friends to a pirate party. These should not just be postcards or letters, but thematic messages.

Such messages can be formatted quite interestingly.

Prepare ancient scrolls. To do this, take plain paper, age it with strong coffee, and carefully burn the edges of such a message from the past.

Apply the text with an ink pen, do not forget to put a couple of blots. Carefully roll the scroll, and the composition will be completed with twine with a wax seal.

Additionally, you can place the message scroll in a bottle, which is closed with a cork.

We cut out original postcards in the shape of a pirate ship. Such a message can be painted or original applications can be made on it.

On the back of the card, write the invitation itself, which will sound something like this:

“Old ______, the crew of the schooner “Flying Dutchman” urgently announces a muster on board. When the bells strike _______, we go out to sea. Having spent the last doubloons, your captain obtained a piece of the map. And let the sharks eat me if he doesn’t help us find the whole map and treasure. I am firmly convinced that you honor the code of pirates and have not forgotten our ancient friendship, and you will definitely take part in our dangerous but exciting journey.”

You can also make a black mark, on the front of which you can place a skull and crossbones or a Jolly Roger. The notification itself must inform the invitee of terrible reprisals if he does not take part in the dangerous fun.

Such invitations can be delivered personally into the hands of a potential victim of pirate revelry, or you can leave it in the mailbox of a fellow seafarer.

Pirate party for children: DIY room decoration

What do you need for a pirate party for kids?

For the original design of the room you will need sea pirate accessories and details. In the rooms, place unusual beautiful bottles, on which do not forget to change the stickers with pirate inscriptions.

You can place wooden or metal-lined boxes and chests that need to be filled with jewelry.

The role of jewelry will be played by sweets in bright wrappers, confetti, multi-colored stones, balls, beads, chocolate medals, and various coins.

Hang pirate sails under the ceiling, which can be made from the same black film. Use a garland to decorate the room. We will make it from black paper triangles-flags, onto which we will apply pirate symbols with gouache.

Black balls will also work. They will depict pirate flags, so they should have skulls and crossbones.

Various accessories in the form of rope ladders, sea shells, fishing nets and ropes will help create a pirate spirit at a pirate-themed children's party.

Place a stylized marine steering wheel in the most visible place.

The curtains are decorated with paper white seagulls. And the walls are filled with pictures, depicting pirates, and old maps. You can hang maritime themed posters.

Props in the form of a compass, binoculars, globes, and telescopes are suitable.

Place barrels with taps on the tables that you can borrow from friends. They are suitable for pirate drinks.

If the holiday is not held outdoors, mark all doors and entrances to the premises with signs. These must necessarily be nautical names, such as galley, latrine, captain's bridge, wardroom.

Such simple and affordable accessories and props will help create a pirate atmosphere.

Of course, laughter and enthusiastic screams are the perfect accompaniment for a children's party.

And don't forget about the main reward. The culmination of the holiday, that is, the treasure itself, will be a stylized pirate cake or a gift for the hero of the occasion on his birthday at a pirate party for children. Of course, it will be much more interesting if every child pirate gets his own little prince from the treasure he finds.

Personalized pirate-themed medals or not very expensive toys can serve as holiday souvenirs.

Children will remember such a holiday for a long time, but memorable photography and video will help them enjoy the memories many years later. Therefore, be sure to take care of a photo shoot or event filming.

The role of a home photojournalist can be played by the baby's father, grandfather or older brother or sister. But it will be better if you invite a professional photographer to the holiday.

A pirate costume can be sewn or made from what is available. To do this you need:

  • vest or T-shirt with horizontal stripes;
  • shorts or jeans;
  • red or black fabric.
Everything is clear with the first two points of the garment, but the fabric of the third is needed to sew a bandana. This headdress is very simple to make. Place the fabric at an angle towards you, measure 2 identical segments from it, cut out the resulting triangle. Tuck the edges in and set aside. Tie a bandana around your head.

If you wish, cut an eye patch from a piece of black leather or thick fabric. Then the pirate costume will be very authentic, and you can make one in literally 30–40 minutes.

If it's a pirate party for adults, then you can modify the women's costumes. Do a little scissor work and this is what you get.

But first, look through your stash for an unwanted blue and white striped T-shirt or dress. Pirate Day will be great if everyone dresses appropriately. If you want your outfit to be the best, then you don't need to remake an old thing, but sew a dress for a party.

For this you will need:
  • white fabric with blue or black stripes;
  • thin leather or black satin;
  • red fabric;
  • red satin ribbon;
  • 2 durable straight cocktail straws;
  • metal loops;
  • thin elastic band.
If you don't have striped fabric, sew blue or black braid to the white, placing it horizontally.

To sew a pirate costume, or rather, a charming pirate woman, we first start measuring and cutting out the bodice.

  1. Using a measuring tape, determine the volume of the body above and below the chest.
  2. Multiply each of the resulting values by 1.5. This is necessary in order to gather the bodice.
  3. If you are sewing a dress with sleeves, then determine the girth of the upper arm and also multiply this figure by 1.5.
  4. Sew the bodice so that the seam is on the back. Draw an armhole on this part and cut it out.
  5. Sew the sleeves, attach them to the bodice and stitch them from the bottom to its underarm parts (armhole).
  6. Hem the top of the bodice. Stepping back 2 cm from here, parallel to the top, sew the elastic from the inside with a zigzag seam, stretching it. The elastic goes along the neckline - through the bodice and the top of the sleeves. You will have a beautiful ruffle at the top.
  7. Also decorate the bottom of the sleeves with an elastic band.
If you have a corset, then a pirate costume for a lady will include it, if not, then cut a strip of leather 10 cm wide. This is the central part of the vest. The sides need to be attached to it. In height they should be 1.5 times greater than the desired height of the products. This is necessary in order to assemble the corset, as shown in the photo. In terms of width, make this part with a small margin so that you can tuck it in on the right and left, topstitch and insert a straw here.

Thread a small strip of leather into each metal ring. When stitching the sides to the central part, immediately insert both ends of these strips of leather here. Thread a ribbon through the metal rings to then lace up the corset.

The skirt is a flared sun, sewn to the bottom of the corset. If you want to sew a petticoat, use sheer fabric for it. Don't forget about pirate accessories for ladies: bracelets, earrings, a bandana with a skull image.

If you have a corset, high boots and over the knee boots, then the outfit for a pirate party will be ready right away. Under the corset, wear a jacket with puffy sleeves; a cocked hat can be replaced with a scarf. Tight trousers and bright makeup will complement the image of a treacherous pirate.

We make pirate-style outfits for children

This outfit will come in handy not only for parties or themed birthdays. You can dress a child in a pirate costume for a party at a children's institution, or for Halloween.

For the younger generation, you can also take a vest as a basis. In this case, the pirate costume is created very quickly.

This one consists of:
  • vests;
  • belt;
  • jeans;
  • striped socks;
  • bandanas.
You can buy a scarf with the image of a skull for a party or, if you have one at home, then take it, and also a souvenir saber.

Here is another version of a pirate costume for boys.

  1. Modify a white shirt by sewing a frill collar and ruffled sleeves.
  2. To create pants, trousers that are too short for the child are suitable. Trim the bottom a little more, turn it over 2 times, topstitch, and insert an elastic band.
  3. You need to belt your pants with a red sash. A scarf of this color will completely replace it.
  4. Striped leggings will be very helpful. If they are not there, then buying them will not be difficult. Moreover, all other things are remade from old ones.
  5. To make your pirate party costumes as authentic as possible, accessorize them with a cocked hat and a cardboard spyglass. These attributes of the outfit will be discussed below.
In the meantime, look at what you can dress your child in if you are invited to a pirate birthday.

Trim the sleeves of an old white turtleneck into a zigzag pattern. Do the same with the bottom of the trousers. Their pirate themed fabrics cut out a triangle for a bandana. Sew a sleeveless vest from it, and a bag from the remnants of the fabric. You can put your child’s personal belongings or a birthday present in it.

Of course, girls will also be invited to the pirate birthday. You can complain about making an outfit like this for them.

  1. To sew a dress without a pattern or, in this case, a jacket and a skirt, place a T-shirt on the fabric folded across it that is just right for the child, but not tight. If there is no such pattern, use a girl’s blouse instead. If it has sleeves, fold them inward, just like the collar.
  2. Draw the sides, neckline, and armhole on the fabric. Cut, adding 7 mm to the seams. Make sure the neckline is deep enough. Make it V-shaped, then it will be convenient for the girl to take off and put on the outfit.
  3. Sew the sides of the jacket and finish the neckline.
  4. Sew white openwork braid onto the armholes, gathering it to make the sleeves puffy.
  5. For the skirt you need a rectangle of fabric, cut out with a margin, sew it on the side, and gather it on top with an elastic band.

How to make a hat and beautifully tie a scarf for a pirate?

To make the pirates look like real ones, do not forget to make the following costume attributes:

  • hat;
  • for girls, a scarf;
  • eye patch;
  • cardboard saber;
  • Spyglass.
You can also make a chest out of a cardboard box and fill it with gold coins, which you can make yourself or buy at a gift shop. Here you will also put beads made of artificial pearls and various women's jewelry.

To tie a scarf, first fold it diagonally. Place it on your head, bring 2 opposite corners back, and tie a knot over the third one. Then tie one or two more, and hook the ends of the scarf under them and pull them up.

The costume is completed with a pirate hat. It is easy to make from cardboard or thick paper. Here's what you need to have on hand for this:
  • white cardboard;
  • black velvet paper;
  • pencil;
  • glue;
  • scissors.

Then proceed according to this plan:
  1. Enlarge the presented template, transfer it to cardboard, and cut it out. Attach the template to black velvet paper, outline, cut out 2 identical blanks.
  2. Measure the rounded part of the hat, multiply the resulting figure by 2. Cut a strip of white paper this length. Its width is 3.5 cm. Fold the strip like an accordion, but at the same time two paired folds go towards each other.
  3. Coat the bottom of each strip with glue and attach to the top of the hat.
  4. Draw a skull and crossbones on white paper and cut it out. Glue this pirate symbol to the front of the headdress.
  5. Glue the 2 hat blanks together, leaving the bottom free. It is used to put on a headdress for a pirate party.
Here's how to quickly make a hat for a girl. For it we use:
  • cardboard;
  • black paper;
  • insulating tape;
  • long pencil or wooden stick;
  • White paper;
  • glue;
  • scissors.

The manufacturing instructions are as follows:
  1. On a piece of cardboard, draw a pirate headdress with a rounded top and pointed brim. Cut out exactly the same blank from black paper. Glue it onto cardboard.
  2. Cut out the bones and skull drawn on a white sheet of paper and glue them to the center of the headdress.
  3. Using two strips of electrical tape, attach a wooden stick or pencil to the underside of the workpiece.
The pirate hat is ready. If you want to sew it, there is nothing difficult about it either. Only the fabric should be dense, you can take felt.

To get a good-quality and beautiful pirate hat, take:
  • black felt;
  • white fabric;
  • scissors;
  • black and white threads;
  • pencil;
  • glue;
  • graph paper or a regular school notebook with a square and a ruler.
If you are using a notebook, unfold a large sheet and glue another one to it. Using a pen or pencil, draw horizontal and vertical lines at a distance of 10 squares from each other. They will help you draw the details of the pirate hat. This:
  • fields;
  • crown.

As you can see, the bottom diameter is 18 cm. The dimensions of the other two parts are also given. Cut them out and attach them to the fabric. Please note that the bottom is 1 piece, the crown is 2 folded, and the brim requires 4 folded pieces.
  1. Sew both edges of the crown. You will end up with an oval shaped part. Fold the top edge of the crown with the bottom, stitch these parts on the wrong side.
  2. Sew both sides of the brim pieces to give each of these blanks a closed shape.
  3. Pin the bottom edge of the crown with the brim so that the crown is between the two fields. Stitch.
  4. Turn the pirate hat onto your face and edge its brim with white braid or trim cut from fabric.
  5. Glue on a pirate emblem cut from light-colored fabric.
You can decorate the headdress in another way. Sew ribbons, braids woven from threads, braid to the bottom of the cocked hat, then you will get a pirate hat, almost like the famous Jack Sparrow.

Spyglass, cardboard hook, boots for a pirate party

These are also integral attributes of a pirate costume. If you have toilet paper rolls left over, don't throw them away. This cardboard packaging will be an excellent material for creativity.

To make a telescope, you will need:
  • 3 toilet paper rolls;
  • roller for removing pills from clothes;
  • colored paper;
  • scissors;
  • glue.
If you have artificial leather, then you can make a telescope from it - you will need pieces of red and black.

If you have artificial leather, cut out two rectangles from the red one. The first large size is 10x9 cm, the second is slightly smaller - 8x9 cm. Also made of black leather - 8x9 cm. Roll each rectangle into a tube, glue the edges.

For the small black and red tubes, you need to cut out another small rectangle to roll each into a small tube, put it down each of these blanks, and glue them.

Now coat the rounded inserts with glue, insert the first small one, different in color, into the large tube. Then to the second and third. Cover the roller left over from a hand tool designed for removing pills from clothes with leather. Place the end of the three-piece tube into it, gluing it.

If you don't have artificial leather, you can make a spyglass for a pirate party using cardboard sleeves. Cover them with colored paper. Cut out small inserts from cardboard, roll them up, and glue the edges. Also insert small tubes into large ones. Assemble the pipe in the manner just described.

Instead of bushings and a roller, you can use a sheet of cardboard. You need to cut it into 4 rectangular sections, roll each into a tube, put one inside the other, attaching the elements to each other with glue.

Thick paper will help you make another attribute of a pirate party - a hook. For it we used:

  • empty cardboard cup;
  • foil;
  • wire;
  • black or red marker;
  • scissors.
Color the cup black or red with a marker. Place a piece of wire on a piece of foil and wrap it in it, leaving a small piece at the edge. It is needed to pierce the glass from the inside and wrap the wire here in the form of a loop to secure it in the container.

Bend the opposite end of the wire in the shape of a question mark. This is how cardboard packaging turned into an attribute of a formidable pirate.

And if you want to know how to turn tatty rubber boots into his over the knee boots, then read about it right now.

For them you will need:
  • black rubber boots;
  • red braid;
  • 6 large artificial pearls or the same number of buttons on the stem;
  • wide black elastic;
  • 2 buckles;
  • a piece of thick fabric (fleece, drape);
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • twine;
  • threads with a needle.
Making shoes for the pirate party begins. First, glue the tape along the edge of the boots. For the cuffs of the boots, cut out two rectangles and glue twine around their perimeter. Attach these elements to the boots, glue them, and secure them on the outside with decorative buttons, sewing them on.

Measure the ankle of the boots and cut a wide elastic band to that length. Thread the buckle through it. Sew both ends of the elastic.

Pattern of a vest, vest, pirate trousers

If you want to sew a pirate costume for a teenager, a slender person of Russian size 42, then use the presented patterns. If your figure is 1-2 sizes larger, then add 1-1.5 cm on the fold for each half of the shelf, the back of the vest and the shirt.

Don’t rush to transfer the pattern onto the fabric, first try it on yourself, see if the details are small? If yes, then add a little more on the sides.

As you can see, the vest pattern consists of two parts: the front and the back, which is cut out with a fold. And for the vest you need to cut out:
  • 1 back piece with fold;
  • 2 sleeves;
  • 2 front pieces with fold.
If you don't want to sew a vest, use a loose white shirt. Then a pirate costume with a vest, trousers, and shirt will look like this.

Now you have a complete set - a costume for a pirate party and accessories for it. It's time to start the holiday by holding competitions on the theme, inviting guests to a table decorated in an appropriate way.

How to decorate a table for a pirate party?

To avoid spending a lot of time and money on this, look at how to quickly decorate your dining area so that it looks impressive.

On a sheet of white cardboard or whatman paper, draw a skull and crossbones and cut it out. Using this template, you can create several more of these elements, which you will place on plates. Roll the napkins into balls and place them with a thin edge into the hole for the mouth. Place a chest in the center of the table; you can put spices and toothpicks in it.

Canapés and sandwiches are also easy to arrange based on the theme of the evening. Draw or stick a skull and crossbones on light rectangles of cardboard. If you are using dark cardboard, then stick these pirate paraphernalia cut out of white paper onto it.

Pierce the shaped cardboard rectangles in two places with the sharp edges of wooden skewers. Glue flags on top of them. To do this, you need to cut out triangular parts from cardboard, draw stripes on them, and glue them to the top of each skewers in pairs.

And, of course, what would a pirate birthday be without a cake? Experienced cooks will be able to make one. The ship's hull is made of baked cakes layered with cream. Its sides, as well as pirate figures, small details are made of mastic.

But even novice housewives can bake a cake like this and include it in the pirate party menu.

For it you will need two sponge cakes. Spread chocolate buttercream on the outside and sides, decorate with colored dragees, and refrigerate until set.

Now scoop out some of the pulp from one cake layer with a spoon. Do not throw it away, but mix it with the remaining chocolate cream, form into circles, and wrap them in gold foil. Let it be the wealth of pirates.

Place it in the bottom cake with the pulp taken out, and on top there are candy beads, chocolate medals, which will become money. Place the second cake layer on top, connect both cake layers on one side with cream.

Put the cake back in the refrigerator, after which it is ready to serve.
