Progress of the event

Song “Favorite School” (performed by the choir)

Leading: Good afternoon, dear teachers and graduates, dear guests of our holiday!

Leading: We are pleased to welcome everyone who came to us today for our festive anniversary.

Children:

Why is there so much light

And smiles and people?

There is, of course, no secret here:

It's our school's ANNIVERSARY!

There are different anniversaries at our school.

Those that are not forgotten for a long time and... not very important.

But today is a special anniversary.

It touches us all

Our favorite school

Turns 50 years old!(All in chorus)

School birthday girl, dear, dear,

How long have we lived together?

It was not lived in vain.

On this solemn day,

Of course, our entire huge

School family.

If you suddenly ask: why are we worried?

We will answer easily, without hiding in our thoughts,

Along the difficult road of creativity and knowledge,

Children and teachers walked together!

Teachers:

50 is a lot and a little
And there is no escape from them.
50 is not the end, but the beginning
Second half of the journey

50 is life at the top,
This is wisdom and an experienced look,
Silver at the temples, a thread of wrinkles,
This means already 50!

50 is not old at all,
And let the skeptics not believe it,
50 is a good joy,
50 is light sadness.

50 - children have already grown up,
The pride of the school and the joy of the family.
Our glorious 50th anniversary
They celebrate with love.

Our age is not measured by years,
And the beating of the heart in the chest,
And since it is young, be sure
At 50, everything is still ahead.

50 is the flowering of life,
Happiness may last for a century.
Do years really matter?
There's a young person at school!

50 - intermediate finish,
50 is the middle of the road,
50 - can you even glance at it?
How long has it been, how long has it been to go?!

Leading:

And on this anniversary day

We gathered to remember again

Those who have gone down in history now

And who filled this day with labor?

Leading:

There are many of them - old and young,

Whose work is akin to the work of a hero

Who, sparing no effort,

The future grows, and there is no rest for it.

Music is playing.

Leading: The home school is the only place on the planet that brings together many people. Every morning, like tiny noisy streams, merging into a single stormy stream, children head here. And so for many years...

Leading: The school remembers each of us: disheveled and neat, noisy and shy, sad and cheerful. School is the beginning of everything.

Leading: Her Majesty fate has provided us with an amazing opportunity to once again look into childhood. We will again find ourselves in that special country from which, when we were little, we so wanted to fly away and return to it again when we became adults.

Leading: Today we celebrate childhood and youth, the birthday of a never-aging school. The school to which all the paths from our house lead.

Years fly by, decades fly by,

The tired Earth is spinning.

But every day children come here,

And every day teachers are waiting for them.

Song “These are our children” (teachers sing)

Leading: Just as the school year begins with the school bell, so school life begins with the first grade.

Presenter: Children are like rays of sunshine that fall to the ground, giving us warmth and light every day.

So drawn to warmth, goodness and light

The soul of a child is a trembling sprout!

Amidst the storms of everyday life, the path to prosperity

And difficult, and anxious, and distant...

But a young heart knows no evil and boredom,

And the world drowns in open eyes...

And children's trusting hands

The school is squeezed carefully in his hands.

Today childhood is with us again,

It's the school's birthday!

And our first graders.

They send congratulations to the school.

Congratulations to first graders

Reader 1:

At this moment we are very worried,

There is so much I want to wish

To congratulate you on your anniversary with dignity,

Reader 2:

First of course we wish you good health

The teacher definitely can’t get sick,

There will immediately be classes without a mother,

There are no simpletons to sit with us.

Reader 3:

It wouldn’t be a bad idea to increase your salary for all of you,

Family problems will be easier to solve,

What to feed, what to wear, how to deliver,

We wouldn’t dream of a new job.

Reader 4:

Another proposal to reduce classes,

Make it five or seven people at a time.

Then you can work successfully,

Not twenty years, but a whole century.

Reader 5:

In general, of course, we were daydreaming,

But what can’t you imagine on an anniversary.

We can only add from ourselves,

That you are no closer and dearer.

SONG: To the tune of the song “A wonderful neighbor has settled in our house”

Performed by a vocal group.

1.What is the school’s birthday -

Even kids know.

And today congratulations

They sound here with all their hearts.

Solemn, cheerful day

For children, teachers.

Our school celebrates

Have a wonderful anniversary!

2.Our school is so beautiful.

At least you'll go around half the world,

But the second one, like this,

Of course you won't find it!

We live here very friendly:

Senior, junior - everyone is important!

They will help us if necessary

Together troubles are not terrible!

3. Today we will boldly say,

This is not a secret at all.

Everyone has known for a long time

There is no better school than ours!

It's great for us to study here.

And loving with all my heart

Happy Birthday, our school

We congratulate you!

Leading: For 50 years now, the school has hospitably opened its doors. Every day, students and teachers rush to this house, where they spend most of the day, and therefore their lives.

All her classes were distinguished by organization and discipline. Her former graduates remember their class teacher with sincere love and come to meetings with her with pleasure.

Leading: The triumphant moment finally arrives. On stage we ask the mistress of a house in which everyone is comfortable.

DearGalina Konstantinovna!

It's been seven years now

You meet every sunrise

With only one thought - about school!

And I can’t sleep anymore

After all, you are responsible for all of us

For warmth to heat the classroom,

For energy and for water

For the observance of rights and freedoms,

For programs and magazines,

So that, God forbid, trouble does not happen!

So that it is clean, and tasty, and clear,

So that the day is not lived in vain!

All day long at work

You give us your heart.

Leading: Galina Konstantinovna, we give you the floor.

Do not forget her holidays, everyday life,

Her life's floors

Don't forget all those who left

Here is a piece of your soul.

Slide with the names of teachers to music.

Leading: The years fly by. Both in the turmoil of affairs and on holidays, we remember with gratitude our school teachers and mentors, who are no longer among us. May their names be blessed. Their memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Ved.Years will pass, centuries of thread

They will drown in the blue abyss of stars,

But the warm word "teacher"

Always moves me to tears.

Ved.Will always make you remember something

Dear, close to you...

In the twentieth century and in the two hundredth

The teacher is eternal on Earth!

Song: " How young we were".

Students:

We were told today

Who is gathered in this room:

There are workers, students,

Even special correspondents

Nurse and seamstress

Even my mother is here!

Here is a scientist and a builder,

Doctor, driver and our teacher,

Turner, warrior, journalist

And an honored artist!

We would now call everyone

From the beginning to the end...

Let's say briefly: in this room

Restless hearts!

Those who build, sow, plow,

cooks, treats, sews, bakes,

Takes care of our Russia,

Everyone we honor!

We figured out the secret:

This is a release from different years!

(THE LIGHTS GO OUT. PRESENTATION "SCHOOL" IS ONISSUE".)

A voiceover is heard in the background of slow music.

Leading: 50 years is like a blink of an eye.

Leading: School…. My school…. These words resonate with a bright feeling in everyone’s soul…. A schoolyard, bright classrooms, a blackboard covered in chalk, a diary lost somewhere, falling in love for the first time.

Leading: A whole sea of bright impressions of a first-grader. The first briefcase, the first bouquet, a brand new school uniform. And I really wanted to start studying faster, I wanted to go to school.

Leading: And here, finally, is the first lesson! And school days began...

Leading: At the threshold of the school, students are greeted by strict guards on duty. The loud school bell calls everyone to class.

Leading: And in class everyone is busy with their own business. Some people listen carefully to the teacher, while others look out the window and count crows.

Leading: And the teacher understands everything. And he tries to convey strict formulas and boring rules, mysterious theorems and vast paragraphs to restless students.

Leading: Hooray! Finally, a change! Everyone is hastily preparing for the next lesson.

Leading: And linden leaves are falling in the schoolyard... Autumn winds are blowing... School years pass quickly….Schoolyard…memory…memories….

Song: "School, School."

Leading: Each school has its own merits. But there is also something that is common and unites all schools without exception. These are their graduates. Everyone's destinies turned out differently. Different paths have been chosen, but our school is rightfully proud of its graduates.

Leading: How many good, no, wonderful students have come out of its walls, entered universities in our country and are confidently moving towards their goal. These are highly professional and conscientious workers, leading specialists at enterprises and organizations, wonderful agricultural workers, engineers and doctors, teachers and government officials.

Teachers' message to graduates:

Hello former children,

How are you living now?

Almost all over the world

Life has scattered you.

The school gave you an inheritance

Your very first lesson.

And pioneer childhood,

And a Komsomol badge.

This is where you learned to work,

Learn books and life.

My favorite teacher was here

And the teacher is like a mother.

There were hikes and rest,

Holidays and evenings.

The first breaths of lovers.

Everything felt like yesterday.

The school lives without aging,

New children are growing up.

Here they will be warmed with a smile,

They will lead you into life by the hand.

Leading: We are very glad that there are so many graduates in the hall today. It's nice that the school is loved and remembered. That former students came and came to her holiday and remember their school years with trepidation.

Song "Eleven"

Leading: In our hall today there are graduates of the romantic 70s, socialist 80s, perestroika 90s and graduates of the 21st century - the century of new beginnings. These are our grandparents, mothers and fathers, people close and dear to us.

Leading: Seventies. This was the time when miniskirts and hairpieces came into fashion for women, and bell-bottoms and long hair for men.

Leading: A 1965 graduate came to congratulate the schoolBoboriko Valentina Ivanovna, who worked as a mathematics teacher for 36 years.

Those were good years!

3. And my granny Nina

The strict one gives me orders,

So that I listen to the teacher

Every time in class.

4. Well, what about our granny and I?

You can live and not bother:

Help you write a story

And solve the problem instantly.

5. They will decide everything and tell you everything,

After all, it was not in vain that we studied here.

- I am proud that in our school

The whole family unlearned!

To relieve boredom,

Music is playing.

Leading: At the entrance to the school there are two memorial plaques on which we see the faces of young children. These are our graduates - Viktor Trukhanov and Alexander Yakovlev. It’s impossible not to remember them today. When performing special operations on the territory of the Chechen Republic, they were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage for courage, personal courage and heroism. We are proud of them and set their achievements as an example for students.

And, of course, he remembers with pleasure his school years: hardworking cooks, patient technicians, but first of all, of course, we remember our favorite teachers, because each of us chooses an ideal for ourselves, which we try to be like. And this ideal is a beloved teacher. For us, he is the smartest, talented, handsome.

Leading: In our hall there are teachers who were once students of our school and themselves chose the difficult path of a teacher. By the way, all the graduates who became teachers were active and talented while still at school. A creative approach to business, to life, distinguished them both then and now.

Leading: Graduates and now teachers of our school are invited to the stage: Kiseleva Lyudmila Mikhailovna, graduate of 1979, Serbinovich Elena Vladimirovna, Bonenko Tatyana Fedorovna, graduate of 1985, Shlyk Elena Aleksandrovna, graduate of 1986.

Once upon a time I left these walls,

For some reason I was tormented by sadness.

I left, but not for good.

And I knew that I would come back here again.

I'm glad to hear these children's voices

And I’m glad to see the shine of children’s eyes,

I believe in miracles with them

And I know: this is not the last time!

Hello, school, many, many years!

Let restless hearts beat

I wish you light and victories!

And I will stay with you until the end!

To the graduates, past and future, to those who were given a start in life by the eighth school, we say thank you for being and still being in the history of our school!

Leading: In connection with the anniversary. congratulatory telegrams, letters, welcome addresses came to the school address. Let me read them out.

Song « Dedication to the teacher"

50 is basically just the beginning,

50 is not a long time for school,

But how much has already been done

To a life of successful, happy roads.

How mother's prayers protect us,

And so school has become for many

Guiding star to the end

Leading: Our school is 50 years old. This is a respectable age, a strong foundation for new ups and downs.

This is the story of many generations of teachers and students, a story in which there is a place for sad and joyful, achievements and losses, mistakes and discoveries, failures and successes. Because our school is our common home.

Our school today... What is it like?

1. It has a permanent teaching staff, which means it is patient.

2. There are a lot of smiling faces here, which means she’s happy.

3.Graduates are always welcome here, which means it is hospitable.

4.Here they are ready to help every student, which means she is kind.

5. Former students bring their children and grandchildren here, which means they are beloved.

Together: This is what it is, our school!

School is the city where they live:

Happiness, friendship, hope and work.

Childhood youth - maturity spirit...

And it seems cloudlessly cheerful

The time that school generously gives!

Every day we come here

And we meet faces that are dear to us,

Every day, every hour, we are always

We will never tire of being proud of you,

Our school, you are our home,

You are support, hope and faith!

We will always be by your side

You will be our example in everything.

The song "What is school?" (teachers singing)

1.Whatsuch-school? These are kids!

Arguing until you're hoarse with teachers,

We never get bored here

With all of you

School is a headache.

Chorus:

School is our home!

School means forgetting about peace!

School is our destiny!

School, we love you.

2.Whatare they children? Insight!

But! And gray hair, and pain in the heart...

This is a wonder of the world! This is sweet torment!

And worries until dawn.

(The last two lines - 2 times.)

Teachers:

There are many different songs in the world,

Well, you can’t count all the professions.

We entered the school world as if into a song,

And they considered it an honor to create in it.

A teacher's whole life is in work,

And at school, at home and away.

With soul and heart we care

And thinking about the days gone by.

Again the bell rings, again lessons,

And the corridor is noisy and crowded.

As usual: plans, deadlines,

Notes, tests, bustle.

You will agree - our work is difficult,

But behind the work there is a result.

And it will help you overcome everything

Such a loving child's look!

Oh, school, you are both laughter and tears,

The pain of failure and the shine of victory,

But we, having gone through thorns and roses,

We teach everything, because learning is light!

Dance.

Presenter : School is a big, colorful world where people of different generations, characters, and talents live and create together.

But there are special people in this world - those who will bring to life the most daring dreams, the most brilliant ideas in the new - twenty-first - century, these are our current graduates. They have the floor.

11th grade students.

We comprehend the world around us,

We are looking for answers to questions,

Our teacher is our good friend,

It’s always easy and simple for us with him.

And let many years pass,

Suddenly invisible threads

They will also light a good light in us,

What our teacher gave us.

What do you wish for your birthday?

Of course, there are no two opinions:

Understanding, inspiration,

Achievements and victories.

To pass by

A streak of bad luck.

So that the lessons

They didn't raise their voices.

So that guys early in the morning

Gathered on the porch

And with the task done,

And with a smile on his face.

So that everyone can be friends

So that during changes

We didn’t decide with our fists

The essence of your problems.

And also - health for children,

Fresh strength for teachers,

Longevity for our school,

Happiness and success to us!

School! Hello dear

School! Hello, young!

And we also wish you...

Celebrate the new anniversary!

Song “Teachers, you will remain in our hearts forever”

(Lyrical music sounds)

Leading: Time flies inexorably. So was all this or not? " Was!" - the school tells us. And as long as our school exists, you and I will always be young, with pure, open hearts.

Leading: So we turned over the pages of our school album, which stores episodes of school life - amazing events and incidents, joys and failures, captured in a flash. Don't be offended by us for not showing everyone. We wanted to dedicate at least a few shots to each of you, but where can we find film that could accommodate all of you?

Presenter: The story continues. And I want to believe that our school will survive more than one anniversary. And all the good deeds done by generations are a guide for successors. They have done a lot, but we must go further and do even more.Live, school! Happy Birthday, school

Presenter: May fate smile on everyone - teachers, children, graduates. We wish our school only successes and good health to all our guests.

Ved: Anniversaries pass like dreams,

Like commas in life's scripture.

And again forward, to the breath of spring,

To the heights of creative aspirations and knowledge.

Ved: Well, even if the path is not easy and somewhere rocky,

But summing up the past days,

It's like we're turning over a new leaf

Like a new day, which tomorrow will be.

Director: What's a birthday without a birthday cake?

They bring out the cake.

Everyone shouts in unison, “Happy birthday, beloved school.”

(Everyone comes out to the soundtrack of I. Allegrova’s “Birthday” and brings out the cake).

SONG "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"

1.The arrows are spinning faster and faster

The school has become a year older,

The leaf fell off the calendar,

But don't be sad in vain.

And not in vain on my birthday

All the friends gather

And the more friends around,

The younger the heart beats.

Chorus:

Happy birthday!

Success, joy, luck,

Any wishes come true,

And a million nights and days!

Happy birthday!

Students are passionate.

And a mischievous mood,

And the most sincere ideas!

2. Telegrams fly out the window,

Everyone wants to congratulate her

It's our school's anniversary,

Everyone wishes her long days.

A big cake with candles,

And champagne to the ceiling,

How long will the Earth circle?

This is how long the school will live.

Chorus:

Happy birthday!

Success, joy, luck,

Any wishes come true,

And a million nights and days!

Happy birthday!

Students are passionate.

And a mischievous mood,

And the most sincere ideas!

Everyone blows out the candles, the music sounds quiet.

Presenter: Concluding our meeting,
Blows out the holiday candles.
The music became quieter.
Let us part now
Only remains in the heart
A day we will remember.

Half a century has passed since that moment
How the school sadly saw us off,
And now, it's nice to see this -
Our wonderful class came to the meeting.

Everyone has changed, time has not been kind to us,
And many, I confess, are unrecognizable
But we will remember with love everything that happened,
How we learned to read and write.

Now everyone has their own worries,
There is something to be proud of and something to regret,
But I wish to remember these years
And never grow old in your soul!

Years of our lives
They don't run, they fly
From prom
50 passed.

Meeting with graduates
We are rushing to school
Meet your childhood
And with youth we want.

Boys and girls
Let them become gray
But we are school memories
They didn't lose theirs.

I wish that the ranks
Ours are not thinning out,
What's new for a meeting?
We managed to come again.

Happy Homecoming Day. Friends, 50 years have already flown by since we were young, cheerful guys. Now many people have gray hairs and many life lessons that have made us stronger and more confident. Everyone now has their own worries, families, holidays, traditions. And I want to wish everyone the best health, I wish you not to forget about your first victories, about fun school days in the bustle of everyday life. After all, remembering them, we immediately become more cheerful and inspired. Tell your grandchildren what happy kids you were, how you believed in your dreams, what you strived for. I wish everyone prosperity, peace and prosperity. Remain kind, sincere and young guys at heart.

The years fly by as if in a hurry,
You can't stop them and you can't catch them,
No matter how quickly you run after them,
You will always breathe in their back.

We met after such years
Everyone has changed, those guys are no longer there
It’s not like you and I are free anymore,
Things want to invite us with them more and more often.

But we remember in our souls how we were friends,
How we had fun in our youth,
How we loved you for the first time,
Now I'm an adult standing in front of everyone.

Fifty years ago we graduated,
How many winters have passed, how many years!
And now we are all convinced again,
There is no more friendly class in the world!

So let's raise our glasses,
For a wonderful, joyful evening,
After all, we haven’t seen each other for a long time,
Finally the long-awaited meeting!

Half a century ago we left school
And they heard their last call.
Today we have gathered here in a friendly circle.
Here everyone learned their own lesson.

We have gained a lot of experience with you,
We have studied life inside and out.
Everyone has a personal path,
But on this beautiful, magical day

Let's leave worries and plans behind.
And let's remember school, the wonderful years,
When we studied dates and countries,
When they were talking about love affairs.

Let youth never leave your heart
And we can meet again and again!
And let the school remind you of itself,
Giving us your care and love!

Life flies without stopping,
Half a century has flown by,
But we, guys, are with you,
A passionate heart does not age you.

School brought us together
The years of youth are wonderful,
There was also ardor of feelings in them,
And the desire for truth and happiness.

Congratulations to everyone on the meeting,
Let the heart beat joyfully,
To return to youth again
Everyone is happy today, I know.

Half a century since we graduated from school,
And the evening of our meeting arrived.
For a long time we swore allegiance to the Komsomol,
But we remember how the bell rang for us.

Even if we are already gray-haired, elderly,
But everyone remembers these years forever.
Lessons, fighting changes -
We will never forget this.

We wish each and everyone good health,
Have a successful and peaceful life.
Let all deeds be saturated with love,
And the sun shines brighter every day.

Half a century later, guys, we
Today we have gathered with you,
She shook us all a lot
And our life has experienced.

Let this meeting give
We are all charged with goodness and strength.
It's so good that class once
He brought us all together, united us.

50 years have passed
As if it never happened
Alumni meeting
She gathered us at school.
School album
We turn the pages
Young, beautiful
Faces are looking at us.
With a mischievous look
Childhood smiles at us
And if only it were back
Time is coming back.
I wish that with childhood
The meetings didn't end
So that year after year
We were returning to school.
I wish that souls
Haven't aged over the years
And so that the school memory
She stayed with us.

And I can’t believe at all that half a century has flown by,
I wish you, friends, that the meeting will warm you!
So that we can gather for many more years,
May the bright memory of the school be cherished forever!
Happiness fills the soul every time I meet you,
Let him temporarily return to our past, to our class!

“One of the brightest signs of childhood is brand new, just purchased textbooks,” recalls a resident of the Shebekinsky district Tatiana Bondarenko. “It was so nice to hold them in my hands, not like the ones they give to my grandson.”

Single copies of textbooks were kept in the school library, but no one wanted to use them because of the torn or painted pages; everyone bought new ones.

“It wasn’t easy; you can’t find them on the open market. My parents’ friend worked in a bookstore, so I didn’t have any problems with textbooks. And classmates used to use one between them,” Tatyana continues. “Everyone had the same notebooks, diaries and other school supplies, because the choice of stationery products did not differ in variety.”

The textbook was supposed to be wrapped in newspaper, which was folded in a special way. Then rolls of wrapping paper appeared on sale, and a little later - the highest chic - plastic covers.

If today calligraphy has become an expensive hobby, then 50 years ago there was simply no other way to write school scribbles. In some Belgorod schools, children are still taught to write with fountain pens, and this is considered an advanced technique.

“Press - hair, pressure - hair, I remember these words of the teacher even 50 years later,” says the Belgorod woman Olga Savelyeva. “With a thin feather, you barely draw a line, then you press, and suddenly a telltale blot slips from the tip of the pen, and all your work is in vain.”

Each notebook contained a soft blue, pink, and purple blotter.

“How many times has it happened: you carefully apply a blotter to the letters that are still wet, and then your neighbor on the desk touches your elbow, and there are ink stains all over the page. I also remember that for some reason the checkered notebooks had no margins. I had to line them with a red pencil.”

Survive the Lightning

“What a pride it was when you, a timid first-grader, were accepted as an October student,” Bondarenko continues. “Wake me up at night and I’ll rattle off: “Octobers are friendly guys, they read and draw, play and sing, they live happily.” And most importantly, now you wear a five-pointed star, in the center of which is a portrait of curly-haired young Lenin.”

The class was divided into “stars”. There was a commander, a florist, a nurse, and a librarian. The Octobrists helped their elders, collected scrap metal and waste paper, and really wanted to become pioneers.

“I was so proud that in the third grade I was accepted into the pioneers that in the cold spring I walked around with my coat unbuttoned so that everyone could see my tie,” says Andrey Chudov.

At the line they made a solemn promise as a pioneer of the Soviet Union. The text of the promise was printed on the back cover of school notebooks.

“I still get chills when I hear the sound of a bugle: with the ceremonial exit of the drummers, buglers, and standard bearers, the lines began where school life was discussed. “Be ready,” the counselor said. “Always ready,” we shouted in unison, raising our hands,” adds Chudov.

And here’s what Tatyana remembers:

“The public organization united us, events were constantly taking place at the school, and children and teachers prepared them themselves. Each unit was named after a pioneer hero, and we really knew a lot about our heroic peers.”

The students were doing useful things. A half-century-old report from the Komsomol organization of the Rivne school: “We collected 10 tons of scrap metal for the country’s factories. We distributed books worth 70 rubles. We planted two thousand trees, grew and collected 98 centners of corn grain on the school plot.”

“When, 25 years later, at a parent meeting at school they voted that the classroom should be cleaned not by the children, but by the cleaning lady, I remembered my childhood. Harvesting after classes and washing classrooms were taken for granted,” Bondarenko assures.

And those who did not want to study and work were sandboxed in Molniya. The editorial team drew caricatures of truant students on scrapbook paper, added caustic text, and hung it up in the classroom. During breaks, people gathered near them; no one wanted to get into Molniya.

Works and arithmetic

“On September 1, in the first grade, the teacher asked me to read the inscription on the office. “I was the only one who could do this,” recalls Olga Savelyeva. “Then it never occurred to anyone to teach a child to write or read at home. What is school for then?

Students calmly moved from one school to another: the educational program was uniform. The word “mathematics” is not yet in the diaries of elementary school students, but “arithmetic” instead. Technology lessons were called briefly and clearly - works.

There are many clubs in subjects taught by teachers for free. Their classmates work with lagging students.

“Studying well is the main patriotic task of students. Pioneer mutual aid groups work in the detachments. Children who do well in their subjects study with those who fail,” she wrote in 1968 "Lenin's Shift".

Olga laughs:

“Nowadays a child goes to a tutor with a tidy sum, and it wouldn’t even occur to him to miss a lesson. We caught poor students after lessons on all floors: they didn’t really want to study extra either with excellent students or with teachers.”

The Soviet school was given the task of moving to universal ten-year secondary education by 1970. To do this, it is necessary to reduce primary education from four to three years, so that from the fourth grade we can study according to the secondary school program.

Later, in 1986, Leninskaya Smena would write:

“Almost all primary schools in the Valuysky district had no repeat students. Therefore, Valuysk teachers were entrusted with being the first in the region and one of the first in the country to teach first-graders according to the new program. They will learn it much faster than their peers, in three years instead of four.”

Parcels with Lenin

There were still a few years left before the release of the Travelers Club program. In the meantime, we learned about life in other countries in international friendship clubs.

“We study the life of schoolchildren abroad using books and letters. We often send parcels to our friends abroad: books about Lenin in parcels. And we also receive thick packages: German pioneers sent us books about Karl Marx and Clara Zetkin,” wrote the chairman of the Fiber Club in Leninskaya Smena.

And here’s what Andrei Chudov remembers:

“The envelope with a bright stamp in a foreign language was a miracle. I studied German and corresponded with a boy from the GDR for two years. And my sister speaks English and was very jealous of me, since it was forbidden to correspond with peers from capital countries.”

Olga Savelyeva often tells her grandson how she studied.

“He is surprised that in elementary school I didn’t know about nylon ribbons, but only braided satin ones. And also because my older sister jumped up and down when they bought a radio at school. Festive evenings ended with dancing, even if the number of records could be counted on one’s fingers,” adds Savelyeva.

No matter how the school changes, even after 50 years a person is taught to be friends and think. The child solves his first problems and rejoices in his first victories. No interactive whiteboards or digital laboratories will help a teacher if he sees not the student’s soul, but the object of education. And no matter how advanced our children are, in September they sit down at their desks with the same excitement as their peers did half a century ago.

Elena Miroshnichenko

Psychologists have named the main features that distinguish schoolchildren in the USSR and in Russia.

Any parent, looking at modern schoolchildren, no, no, and will remember - but in my time, eh... Such comparisons usually turn out not in favor of today's children. Universities and school teachers add fuel to the fire: they say that previously children would have been smarter and studied better, but this generation is not suitable for anything other than the Internet and social networks.

Experts from the Center for Research on Contemporary Childhood at the Institute of Education of the Higher School of Economics found out how today's schoolchildren really differ from Soviet ones.

Simply relying on memory and impressions in such comparisons is not enough! Everyone knows that before the sky was cleaner and the grass was greener. Therefore, psychologists decided to go a different route and reproduced one of the classic Soviet studies:

Exactly 50 years ago, in 1967, the famous psychology professor Daniil Elkonin and his colleagues published a study about schoolchildren, says Katerina Polivanova, director of the Center for Research in Contemporary Childhood. - For two years, they observed students in the same grade (first it was the 4th grade, then the 5th), and studied the “sense of adulthood” - that is, their desire to be, appear and act like adults. We repeated this study, but according to modern standards, and more strictly recorded everything we saw.

REBEL OR GOOD GIRL

As researchers found, 50 years ago, schoolchildren aged 11-12 actually wanted to be adults much more strongly than today.

In the 1960s, fifth-graders wanted to be treated like adults—to have their opinions taken into account, to be treated with respect, says Alexandra Bochaver, a research fellow at the Center for the Study of Contemporary Childhood. - Modern children are more likely to consider themselves small or “in-between”, for them childhood is a much more attractive period than adulthood, which they see as consisting of many responsibilities and lack of time.

This feeling of adulthood manifests itself in different ways:

Soviet teenagers showed a more conscious attitude towards learning. On the one hand, they took their studies seriously. But on the other hand, there were rebels who protested against this and devalued the school,” Katerina Nikolaevna lists. - Now we note a rather harsh influence of parents and the school, focused on academic achievements. Modern children are simply not allowed to devalue school! Therefore, they complete all tasks accurately and on time.

However, the point is not that today's schoolchildren are more obedient. They are, so to speak, more cunning: they understand that it is “cheaper” for them to follow the rules than to go on strike and start revolutions. And for behavior that is not acceptable at home and at school, there is the Internet.

OBEDIENT OR INDEPENDENT

Those teachers who experienced Soviet schools quite rightly cry about the lack of discipline in modern classrooms. As the researchers noted, obedience was one of the distinguishing features of children of the 60s:

For those students, authority and the vertical hierarchical system were much more important: “the adult is the one who rules, I am the one who obeys,” notes Katerina Polivanova. - Today, schoolchildren do not perceive everything the teacher says as the ultimate truth. They are critical of this situation.

On the other hand, our grandparents had many times more responsibilities around the house. In the 60s, a fifth-grader had to do both cleaning and, if not prepare his own lunch, then at least warm it up. Today's children are exempt from this:

Modern children are rarely at home at all. They are more busy with studies and additional education,” explains Alexandra Bochaver. - But if earlier clubs were based on the desires of the child - “Drama club, photo club, and I also want to sing...” (this is a poem about choosing which club to go to), but now parents choose for their children, focusing on the fact that , it seems to them, will help them choose a sought-after or prestigious profession.

SAME OR DIFFERENT

Another thing that the current school is often reproached for is that it emphasizes social stratification. Like, before, everyone wore the same uniform and didn’t show off, but now it’s a continuous competition to see who has the coolest iPhone and the most fashionable sneakers.

There was social stratification even then, there were simply much fewer very rich people, they were less common. The majority actually lived on the same level, says Katerina Polivanova. - My opinion is that social stratification is transmitted to children from above, from parents. And if adults say: we are poor or, on the contrary: we are rich, we got rich yesterday, today we will show it to everyone - of course, this will affect the children.

In general, today's fifth graders turn out to be much more different in terms of maturity and awareness than their peers 50 years ago. Among them there are both older and still children! Our grandparents were closer to each other at that age.

VANISHING ADULTS

When asked why schoolchildren have changed so much, researchers answer simply - life itself has become different.

Today, not everyone needs to work on an assembly line, roughly speaking. And such work means that you need to arrive on time, accurately perform your job functions, that is, do everything that is required of an adult,” sums up Katerina Nikolaevna. - Now economic growth occurs at the expense of something else, at the expense of creativity. And a person can produce fresh ideas at the age of 15, and at 30, and at 60. The boundary between ages is blurring. And adults - in the sense that these are the people who are responsible, punctual, who do what is required of them - this, alas, is a fading nature.

Schoolchildren then and now.

QUESTION OF THE DAY

Which school do you like better - Soviet or current?

Sergei MALINKOVICH, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communists of Russia party:

I like the Soviet one and don’t like the current one. The Soviet school produced patriots and workers, while today's school produces idlers and money-grubbers.

Dmitry GUSCHIN, “Russian Teacher of the Year 2007”:

In the USSR, schools followed unified programs and provided a unified cultural code. The advantage was the testing of innovations; they were not done in one day. The current school takes more into account the individuality of the child and is focused on his choice.

Andrey KOLYADIN, political scientist:

I like the school of life best. Unlike the Soviet one, it is less ideological. And unlike the modern one, it is less religious.

Sergei IVASHKIN, deputy director of the Samara Waldorf school:

Soviet schools were the same with rare exceptions. Now schools are different in terms of educational philosophy.

Alexander SHEPEL, Doctor of Biological Sciences:

In the Soviet school there were many free clubs where you could do what you liked. Now everything depends on money.

Sergey YAZEV, director of the ISU astroobservatory:

I like the current school in the part where it uses the best Soviet experience. After all, the methodology and many teachers are still from Soviet practice.

Roza MAKULOVA, teacher with 40 years of experience:

In Soviet times, parents and children lived for school. They approached both teachers and learning more responsibly.

Anatoly BARONENKO, school director with 50 years of experience:

With both hands for the Soviet school - it inherited the traditions of the royal gymnasium. Knowledge was provided by fundamental and now “practical competencies.” The student does not have a complete picture.

Alexander YAKIMOV, veteran of the Great Patriotic War:

When I was studying, the school had seven classes. After that, it was already possible to enter a technical school. But we managed to learn algebra, geography, and physics. And the great-grandchildren go online on any issue.
