First of all - people, their smiles and emotions. Events such as anniversaries, friendly meetings, etc. are an excellent occasion for creating many portraits.

Pay attention to any little things - you are a photographer, you simply have to see them.
Think about things and settings that everyone would then easily associate with the holiday. Of course, photographs of the event are the basis. But other things may also come in handy.
For example, you were invited to a restaurant. How about photographs of the building's façade, surroundings, and interiors?
If possible, try to capture scenes of waiting and arrival of guests, table setting, wait staff, memorable dishes, presentation of gifts, where they are stored, etc.

Recently I was lucky enough to photograph one of the finalists of the Miss Russia 2014 contest, Olga Likhanova. She is from my hometown of Bratsk, which makes me very proud. They decided to shoot at the brotherly restaurant "Entourage". This is a small, cozy and beautiful restaurant with friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my friend, photographer Eduard Skiba, for his help in organizing this shoot.
The restaurant has large windows, so we decided to shoot during the day to use mostly natural light. In addition, at this time we did not disturb anyone and could move freely around the halls.
Equipment:
For shooting, I used Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM and Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lenses, and a Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera. For some shots, a mobile video light was used as a small backlight.
Since the shooting was done indoors in natural light, the ISO settings were used quite high, from 400 to 1600.
Shooting was carried out in aperture priority mode with a slight plus correction.
They tried to position the model in such a way that the interior of the restaurant would also be included in the frame.
In this article I am posting pictures that have not been processed in Photoshop; only minor corrections have been made in the converter.

Please note that the light from the window is directed somewhat from the side, which clearly shows the volume on the face.
Here we use a mobile video light mounted on a stand to the right of the camera and slightly above the level of the model’s head. Please note that this resulted in a difference in the color of the face and hands, which, however, can be easily corrected in Photoshop.
Natural light from the window is used here. The dark door at the back acts as a light absorber (as opposed to a reflector), which makes the model's face appear more voluminous.

Create a video postcard in Movie Maker
Before learning how to create films, it is advisable to practice on something simpler. For example, create a video card using the Movie Maker program:
- Choose music that suits your holiday. To do this, just download the song you like.
- Select photographs or pictures suitable for the celebration.
- Open Windows Movie Maker. In some OSes it is included in the set of standard programs, but it is easy to download and install.
- In Movie Maker, click “Import Media” (the button in the upper left corner of the program window) and upload the files. Pay attention to the operating mode of Windows Movie Maker (there should be an inscription “Timeline” in the bottom left corner).
- Click on the audio file and drag it to the “Sound and Music” section at the bottom of the program. Drag your photos or pictures into the “Video” section in the sequence you intended.
