DIY postcard for Teacher's Day. Master class with step-by-step photos

The new school year has just begun, and the first worries are already making themselves felt. Teacher's Day is just around the corner, which means it's time to think about preparing congratulations, gifts and posters for your favorite teachers. Today, like 30 years ago, a wall newspaper for Teacher’s Day is considered an individual and unique gift, imbued with the warmth of children’s hands. An inexpensive, but cute and memorable present will definitely appeal to both primary school teachers and high school class teachers. A DIY wall newspaper on whatman paper is not a relic of the past, but a magnificent handmade product, where every stroke and every line carries something important, kind, and genuine. And the poems, photographs, and pictures on the poster for Teacher’s Day will long remind the “cool mom” of her favorite students. If they, in turn, try hard, using their own imagination or a simple master class!

Beautiful wall newspaper for Teacher’s Day with your own hands on whatman paper, photo

To make a beautiful wall newspaper for Teacher’s Day with your own hands, you only need 8 A4 sheets or a large white Whatman paper and popular stationery. But in order to design the poster in the best possible way, you will have to work a little. To do this, you can use one of three methods for making wall newspapers:

  • print out the necessary elements of the wall newspaper, and then glue them to whatman paper. Alternatively, you can print a large black and white image on several sheets, and then glue the poster together in parts and color it yourself;
  • make the poster completely “handmade” - write all the texts, inscriptions and wishes yourself, draw beautiful illustrations, add decorative elements using different handmade techniques;
  • combine the two previous methods of making wall newspapers. For example, print out photographs of the teacher and students, cut out a suitable plot from colored paper (a tree of wishes, a sun with rays, petals of a large flower), add warm congratulations, etc.

Most often, it is the third method of preparing a beautiful wall newspaper for Teacher’s Day that is used. But even in such a seemingly understandable process, it is worth following the sequence of actions of the master class so as not to waste all the work.

  1. Think over the plot and style of a wall newspaper for Teacher's Day;
  2. Prepare the basis for the poster - buy whatman paper or glue 8-12 sheets of thick A4 paper into a canvas;
  3. Prepare congratulatory texts and wishes, funny stories from school life, a funny horoscope for the teacher for the next year. They can be written in beautiful handwriting, printed on a printer, cut out in parts from postcards, newspapers or magazines;
  4. If necessary, print out a photo of your teacher, class students, interesting moments from the school and extracurricular life of the team;
  5. Design a congratulation headline for the wall newspaper "Happy Teacher's Day." It can also be cut out from a printout or colored paper, or drawn by hand using paints or colored pencils;
  6. Glue previously prepared texts and photographs to the poster according to the planned plot. Outline them with decorative frames;
  7. Fill the remaining space with handmade elements: hand-drawn patterns or funny school-themed characters, voluminous flowers, fabric bows, small compositions made of beads, rhinestones, ribbons, buttons, etc.
  8. A beautiful do-it-yourself wall newspaper on whatman paper for Teacher’s Day is ready. Attach the poster to the wall using pushpins.

Hello dear readers. Surely, among you there are many happy parents who are already preparing for the new school year for their children. Notebooks, books, clothes have already been purchased and are waiting for their finest hour, right? But let's talk a little today about the festive side of September 1st. Namely, about a beautiful line and ideas on how to decorate this holiday. Probably one of the most interesting ideas will be drawings for September 1st. After all, it is festive, beautiful, and can also be an excellent gift for teachers and children themselves.

First, let's remember ourselves at the age of our children. I personally remember very well how my sister braided my long hair into tight braids, and then attached a huge white bow to my head. This is probably the only thing I remember from 1st to 5th grade. The ceremonial line was beautiful, I don’t argue, but for a first-grader it was tiring. I want to go to class quickly and not stand in the sun.

But September 1 is a great start to the new school year. A holiday that is commonly called the Day of Knowledge. And we wouldn’t want our children to associate it only with bows and a tedious ruler.

Therefore, let’s try to consider options for drawings on the theme of September 1, which will be remembered not only by our children, but also by teachers. After all, this can be a great gift, as well as a fun activity for kids.

Simple pencil drawings for Knowledge Day

I think not everyone in their family has a professional artist who can create a masterpiece in a matter of minutes. Many parents have to work quite hard and for a long time to make crafts for their child in kindergarten, and then for school. Although many of the drawings are quite simple and you can involve children in drawing.

Bell

Let’s try together to draw a simple bell, the sound of which notifies you of the beginning of a new school year. Don't be afraid, we will do the drawing with you step by step and even your baby will get a beautiful drawing.

First you need to draw the base for our bell, for example like this.

The lower part should have an oblong and oval shape, which is easy to do, focusing on a pre-drawn base line.

At the last stages you will need to add a hook and a festive bow, which will decorate our bell.

Try to make smooth lines and don't forget about the edges of the ribbons and folds, which will make your drawing more realistic.

Here is such a simple but beautiful drawing that we came up with in just a few minutes. This drawing can also be used as a coloring book, which will be incredibly interesting for children.

Such simple, but at the same time beautiful drawings can be made as postcards that can be presented as a gift to your favorite teacher.

September 1 in kindergarten

It's no secret that our children who go to kindergarten do not have a holiday lineup. For most kindergartens, vacations and holidays fall in June and July, therefore, children do not come in the fall on September 1, but earlier. But this is not a reason to deprive children and teachers of their legitimate holiday. What can you draw for the garden and how can you decorate it beautifully? It’s very easy, you just have to turn this procedure into fun and everyone will be happy.

Children's drawings on the asphalt

This action will not require much expense, but children and teachers, and maybe parents, will be satisfied and joyful. All we need is colorful crayons and asphalt. Not that much, right? Let your children show their imagination and after a few more days their masterpieces will delight your eyes.

And here it doesn’t matter how beautiful and high-quality the drawing is made, the main thing is that the children will be satisfied and happy.

Drawings for first graders

For children who are going to school for the first time, in their 1st grade, this day will be remembered for a long time. It will be reverent, memorable, filled with joyful and exciting emotions and events. You can prepare your child for this day not only with conversations and stories about school, but also with a drawing that the child can later present to his first teacher.

There are actually a lot of ideas for drawings, you can show your imagination and draw something of your own, or you can find ready-made examples, and then all that remains is to redraw the drawing. For example: “Hello, school.” With this drawing you can prepare your baby in advance for what awaits him in the future.

The picture shows a boy or girl going to school:

Or a child with a globe:

You can also draw a creative and funny drawing for Knowledge Day:

At first glance, the drawings are difficult for an inexperienced artist and the question immediately arises, how to draw? But don’t be scared, everything is quite simple and you can handle it with ease.

I remember how, as a child, a friend at school was asked to draw a picture on the theme of the New Year and she madly wanted to depict Santa Claus, a Christmas tree and other paraphernalia of this holiday. But since she absolutely did not know how to draw and nothing worked out for her, she was upset and already thought that she would be left without drawing. But her father came to the rescue, suggesting that she could draw according to the cells.

This easy drawing method will come in handy for you. Everything is simple here. Take the original picture you want to draw and carefully draw a cell on it with a pencil. Next, take a blank sheet of paper and draw a box on it. All you need to remember is that the cells on both sheets must be the same size, otherwise nothing will work. When the cells are ready, all you need to do is carefully draw the necessary lines along your cell. Afterwards, beautify and erase with an eraser the cell that you no longer need. You can take paints, markers or colored pencils and color the picture and you're done.

I hope this was useful to you and will be useful in the future, beautiful drawings and happy September 1st!

On the eve of the teacher's holiday, many students want to do something personal for their favorite teacher and present it to him as a small souvenir. Moreover, such an idea is equally often born both in the head of a small schoolchild who has just arrived in first grade, and in one who goes to 5-6, or even 10-11 grades. Of course, depending on the age, it will differ what the student will do with his own hands on Teacher’s Day.

  • A first grader will most likely take a blank piece of paper and draw a portrait of his teacher, his class, or maybe a festive bouquet of bright autumn flowers.
  • Middle school students are preparing more serious crafts for Teacher's Day. They have already mastered various types of needlework and can independently perform work using quilling or origami techniques.
  • Even more original will be the offerings from high school students who know exactly what to do for Teacher’s Day. They are real masters who know the secrets of any needlework: quilling and applique, embroidery, knitting and origami. They can easily even bake a cake for their teacher!

If you don’t know what to do for Teacher’s Day with your own hands, but you really want to make something special, we suggest looking at examples of work and downloading templates for making gifts or simply borrowing ideas for creativity.

Coloring book or drawing for Teacher's Day

Based on the Teacher’s Day coloring book, even an elementary school student can make beautiful postcards, framed paintings, and appliqués. And how useful they will be when decorating wall newspapers and congratulations in cool corners. Look for suitable scenes among our coloring pages and create your own drawings for Teacher's Day based on them. You can download coloring pages for free in the archive (A4 format).

Origami on Teacher's Day: owl made of triangles

To some, origami will seem like a very simple form of art in order to make a worthy gift for a teacher using this technique. Don’t think that only boats and boxes can be folded from a sheet of paper. On the eve of the holiday, we invite you to discover modular origami. From a huge number of small triangles using the origami technique, try making an owl for Teacher's Day. The guys rush to the rescue and demonstrate their master class, where everything is simple and clear.

Quilling for Teacher's Day

Crafts made from thin sheets of paper that are rolled in a special way are distinguished by their unique luxury. We are talking about the quilling technique. How many wonderful works can be made with only paper of different colors. And, of course, you still need to be patient. Such an original craft takes very little time, because you can make the blanks while watching a movie or listening to music; all that remains is to assemble the small curls and leaves into a single composition. How? Read the master class and create with us.

Master class: quilling for Teacher's Day - postcard with sunflowers

To make it you will need:

  • white cardboard A4 size,
  • colored cardboard with the image of sunflowers, A5 format,
  • quilling strips 3 mm wide,
  • openwork paper napkins,
  • PVA glue,
  • stationery double-sided tape,
  • quilling tool,
  • scissors figured and regular,
  • stationery rhinestones,
  • Congratulations printed on a printer.

Manufacturing:

  1. We bend the white cardboard in half, try on the colored cardboard to the resulting half of the sheet. If the sizes do not match, then cut off the excess.
  2. Using stationery tape, glue the colored canvas onto a white sheet of cardboard.
  3. Using a quilling tool, we twist rolls from stripes of yellow, green and black colors: yellow and black - loose rolls with a diameter of 10-12 mm, and from black stripes - tight rolls. We glue the edges of all rolls with glue. Use your fingers to give the yellow rolls a “drop” shape, and the green rolls an “eye” shape. Number of yellow rolls - 50-55 pcs., green - 20-25 pcs., black - 15-20 pcs.
  4. Glue together a small funnel from paper of any color (diameter no more than 5 cm).
  5. We glue yellow rolls in two tiers along its entire circumference, with the bottom layer protruding from the top by 3-5 mm.
  6. Then we flatten the center of the funnel a little, generously grease it with glue and fill it with black tight rolls, also in two tiers.
  7. We glue an openwork napkin onto the colored canvas of the postcard on one side, trying not to stain the postcard itself.
  8. On top of the napkin we glue the resulting sunflower, green leaves and small spiral curls. We glue 3 yellow rolls to each curl, forming flower buds.
  9. We cut out the inscription “Happy Teacher’s Day” printed on the printer with curly scissors in the form of a rectangle and glue it to the free space of the postcard. Glue the inscription.
  10. We decorate the remaining voids at will with flowers from rolls and leaves with curls.
  11. We use yellow stationery rhinestones to decorate the edges of the congratulatory inscription, the openwork napkin and the petals of the buds.
  12. Let the quilling-style postcard rest well and let the glue dry to avoid deformation. After this, you can safely present such a non-standard gift to respected teachers.

The postcard using the quilling technique is ready.
