Brotherly greeting 3.3 5 horde. Winter Cover Guide

Today my daughter turned one month old! There’s not enough time at all 🙁. Sometimes I wonder how our parents were able to raise us, because in just a month I’m already falling off my feet. But this fatigue goes away instantly, you just have to smile at your daughter. Okay, that was a lyrical digression.

Happy New Year, everyone!

On December 15, the Christmas event begins in the vastness of Pandaria and beyond Winter cover. Which will last until January 2, 2013. It’s probably no secret to anyone, well, at least to those who make the Greatest Achievement, A Long and Strange Journey, they know that Winter cover is part of this global achievement. And the reward for this amazing Winter Veil Event will be the title “Merry Man”. I think Winter Shroud will help you take a break from countless raids and DAILIES.

Well, friends, I’ll start my own little by little guide to Winter Veil 2012!

Guide to Winter Veil 2012 Pandaria

Those who have been playing for several years already know what gifts await them, so those who know and don’t know, be prepared, the real fun of the Winter Veil will begin on December 25, when Grandfather Winter begins to distribute his gifts to all the badasses, raiders, pvpeers who led well yourself for a year :). Gifts can be found under the Christmas tree in Orgrimar and Ironforge.

By the way, in this regard, there may be “Gaps” in the description of achievements and gifts, because the Pandarivian Winter Shroud has not yet been tested by any of us.

You can see the list of gifts below:

WOW 2012 Winter Cover Achievements

There are plenty of achievements in Winter Veil :) as always, there are plenty of them - 14 of them + the achievement itself Veselchak the total is 150 achievement points.

  • (Alliance)/ (Horde)

Well, now let’s look at the Achievements in more detail.

Achievement

We take the next quest and hand it over to Grandfather Winter - having still achieved Oh, that Grinch.

  • And we will receive a reward for murder. Don't grab/throw away - you'll need it to achieve Winter Days.

Achievement

Our goal is to save Grandfather Winter's beloved reindeer - Metzen! The achievement is completed in the process of completing the previous achievement, or more precisely, during the completion of the CV Cool sense of humor( /)

Grandfather Winter's deer calmly settles down near the skeletons near the Grinch's cave.

Achievement of Buk ( /)

To do this, the Alliance needs to drop Muradin Bronzebeard in Ironforge, and the Horde - in Thunder Bluff

Achievement

A creditable PvP Achievement of the Winter Veil, how could it be without factions clashing heads... Yes, you will only need 50 honorable victories, in the guise of Santa's Little Helper. In almost every city or near it there will be cool transmutation machines “Miracle Frost” that will turn you into Santa’s Little Helper.

Well, avid Pvpeers already know how and where to get 50 honorable victories, but for those who don’t really know this side of wow, I can recommend going to, namely Alterac Valley or Conquest Island. (the main thing is to run after the crowd and shoot periodically :) beat or heal and there is a chance to get a few more achievements :) good luck)

Achievement

Well, here you will need Cooking, although I think most players have thought of upgrading Cooking for free, during . If your cooking has reached level 325, then with this achievement you will cope with Hurray!

You need to prepare three festive dishes:

Recipes are sold from holiday NPCs, as are almost all reagents. Here is a list of what you may need:

  • Ice milk, 1 pc. – sold by traders;
  • Festive drinks, 2 pcs. - sold by traders;
  • Carbonated apple cider, 1 pc. - sold by traders;
  • Holiday spices, 3 pcs. - sold by traders;
  • Small egg, 2 pcs. – Drops from Dragonhawks in Woods of Eversong / Owlkin in Auberdine.

Earnings on Winter Veil

A small egg is easy to loot; last year it was easy to farm hundreds in a few minutes (15-30). Well, we still know that our players are lazy and they have to run away to farm it themselves, so people are happy to buy Small eggs at auction for crazy money. If you farm eggs in advance, then on the day the Winter Veil starts, you can make decent money.

One of the biggest and most fun events in World of Warcraft starts on December 15th! As many of you have guessed, we are talking about winter cover - a time of incomparable fun, unique joy and an amazing spirit of rejoicing, filled with an atmosphere of cheerfulness and major fervor. The holiday will last until January 2 and will bring a lot of fun and, of course, gifts to Azeroth. Despite the release of Pandaria, no major changes are planned. However, it often happens that players notice some changes. If you notice something new while completing achievements, don't forget to leave a comment under this guide :).

So let's get started.

Buka
An elementary achievement that requires you to throw a snowball, sold at all holiday vendors, at Bane or Muradin. The first is located in Thunder Bluff, the capital of the tauren, and the second is in Ironforge, the center of the dwarves.

To Metzen
The nasty Grinch has kidnapped Metzen, the reindeer who is the spirit of the entire festival. Your task is to kill him, thereby freeing the beast. The starting quest can be obtained in Orgrimarr or Ironforge. The Grinch himself has settled in a dark cave in the cold foothills of Hillsbrad close to the west. For completing the task, you are given a stolen gift, which, as you understand from the name, will contain either pets or the resources necessary to purchase seasonal items.

Oh that Grinch
To get this achievement, you must complete the continuation of the previous task (related to the return of treats to Smoky Forest Pastures and receiving gratitude from those who were helped). The task is handed over to Grandfather Winter. Within a short time, you will be sent via mail a Grakka Cupcake with meat and fruit, as well as a kit for changing your winter cover. Don’t rush to indulge in good things - these little things will soon come in handy.

Hot dances
A very simple achievement. Your task is to go to Dalaran, find a fellow snowman, use the dressing kit to become a snowman yourself, and, in fact, have a fiery dance :). It is recommended to complete it in the first days of the event, as this gives you the opportunity to simultaneously work on the Let the Blizzard Strike Harder achievement.

Let the blizzard blow stronger
The achievement is essentially elementary, but when it comes down to it, it turns out that this is not entirely true :). In any case, completing this achievement takes some time. Your task is to please the festive tavern workers with a kiss (macro /kiss), get a handful of snowflakes for this and throw it into combinations of some races and classes.

  • Man Warrior
  • Night Elf Druid
  • Troll Hunter
  • Dwarf Paladin
  • Draenei Priest
To the Alliance:
  • Orc Death Knight
  • Tauren Shaman
  • Undead Rogue
  • Gnome Mage
  • Blood Elf Warlock
Gifts only for obedient children
Let's move on to one of the most interesting parts - opening gifts hidden under the capital's Christmas trees. Unfortunately, access to them will only appear on December 25th. This year, the developers have added several new “fun” items: a thick leather ball and a soccer ball. Pets are still on the list of possible gifts to receive, but the earnings from them will no longer be so great. Alas, alas.

With some help from my friends...
With the help of a miraculous machine, turning into a cute gnome, you will have to win 50 honorable kill victories on the battlefield. The achievement is often obtained in one go on Alterac. Transformation into Grandfather Winter's assistant is carried out in the following places:
  • Orgrimmar - near the zeppelin tower towards Undercity / Thundergol
  • Ironforge - outside the main gate
  • Undercity - near the zeppelin tower towards Orgrimmar / Thundergol
  • Stormwind - near the entrance to the flight master
  • Tanaris - in the east of Primbambasca
  • Pirate's Cove - at the docks
  • Shattrath - in the east of the city in Terrokar
  • Dalaran - in the city center
Fearless Warbler
The execution is as follows: wearing a colorful Winter Veil sweater, you must sing a couple of holiday songs in all enemy capitals. Singing is accomplished through the use of the sweater itself, since it is the sweater that has the built-in ability to do so. The sweater can be found in gifts from under the Christmas tree.

La-la-la-Ogrila
First of all, you need to go to Ostrogorye. A small community of ogres, approximately located at coordinates 28.57, will ask you to eliminate the Burning Legion camp. Give them a hard time one more time! - this is the quest they will give you. The point is that you will have to carry out merciless genocide in a vehicle. Moreover, it’s festive. To make it festive, you need to use dried or fresh holly, which is sold at holiday vendors or obtained through kisses sent to hotel workers.

Winter days
Your task is to enjoy a Grakku cake with meat and fruits while wearing a festive attire (the achievement requires the presence of three items: red or green winter clothes, boots and a New Year's hat). If the first two things can be easily purchased at an auction or asked to be sewn by a tailor, then getting a hat is a little more difficult. Caps drop in current bosses of heroic dungeons.

Winter treats
Fans of Pilgrim's Feast can rejoice in the presence of this achievement. Your task is to prepare three festive dishes:

Recipes are sold at holiday vendors. To make it, I recommend stocking up on the following:

  • Festive drinks, 2 pcs. - sold by traders;
  • Carbonated apple cider, 1 pc. - sold by traders;
  • Holiday spices, 3 pcs. - sold by traders;
  • Small egg, 2 pcs. - obtained from dragonhawks in the Woods of Eternal Song / Owlwolves in Auberdine.
By the way, about small eggs. This is a seasonal method of obtaining gold. They drop in bunches from the cubs of the furious dragonhawk, and their price at auction is quite decent. I recommend reading what I wrote last year.

Fraternal greeting
The achievement requires you to visit your faction brothers and give them a friendly touch with a sprig of mistletoe. Mistletoe is obtained with the help of the same kisses sent to festive tavern workers.

Brothers of the Horde

  • Brother Malakh in the Undercity;
  • Brother Keltan in Icecrown;
  • Durkot Brother Wolf in Warsong Fortress.
Brothers of the Alliance
  • Brother Nimez in Stranglethorn;
  • Brother Carman in Theramore;
  • Brother Joshua in Stormwind;
  • Brother Cassius in Stormwind;
  • Brother Wilhelm in Goldshire;
  • Brother Christophe in Stormwind;
  • Brother Crowley in Stormwind;
  • Brother Benjamin in Stormwind.
For the exact location, I recommend checking out WowHead.com. By the way, about the Alliance brothers. The need for a visit to everyone is constantly changing - there are sometimes more brothers, sometimes fewer. Some say that one of the brothers is no longer needed, others insist on something else. There are still 8 brothers on WowHead, but during the holiday, I believe their number will change. Please write about any changes you notice in the comments.

That's all, actually. As you can see, the achievements are not difficult - after all, the main goal of the festival is not to burden the player with difficult and incomprehensible tasks, but to provide an opportunity to have fun. Good luck!

The last holiday of the outgoing year begins - Winter Veil. This holiday is one of my favorite holidays and, although I don’t make achievements for game events, I just can’t help but publish a guide on how to get them =). You never know who is missing exactly this achievement for the Amethyst Proto-Dragon. In addition, all those who complete the Winter Veil achievements will receive the reward title - !

This is a simple and very fun achievement for which we need to complete a short quest chain. The initial quest is taken from, who can be found in Ironforge in front of the bank or in Orgrimmar before the auction. According to the quest, you will have to go to Tanaris or to the Scorched Gorges.

In order to complete this achievement, you need to dress up as a winter gnome. Conversion installations can be found:

  • Orgrimmar - near the zeppelin tower towards Undercity / Thundergol
  • Ironforge - outside the main gate
  • Undercity - near the zeppelin tower towards Orgrimmar / Thundergol
  • Stormwind - near the entrance to the flight master
  • Tanaris - in the east of Primbambasca
  • Pirate's Cove - at the docks
  • Shattrath - in the east of the city in Terrokar
  • Dalaran - in the city center

When you transform into a Dwarf, you need to get 50 honorable kills. To do this, it is best to go to OLO or Alterac. While in a vehicle, you can also get honorable kills and are much less likely to die. Remember that if you die, you can always don your Dwarf outfit again and continue the quest.

Druids should also note that entering the form causes the suit to be reset. I'll have to suffer =)

You need to throw a snowball at the Horde/Alliance leader depending on your faction. For the Horde it will be Cairn, for the Alliance it will be Magni Bronzebeard. There is nothing complicated, snowballs are sold at all holiday NPCs in cities.

You need to complete the task while sitting on a festive deer. Please note that players are no longer required to complete a lengthy quest line for Ogril's faction to gain access to the quest. You can find the quest you are looking for at coordinates 28.57 in Ostrogorye.

Having accepted the quest, you need to mount and use (in case you have already freed Metzen) or (which can be obtained by using the emotion/kiss on NPCs in capitals)

First you will need clothes. It can be created by tailors or leatherworkers using recipes. Recipes are sold from holiday NPCs and cost mere pennies. To achieve this you need or (requires 250 sewing). And also (requires 285 Leatherworking). In addition, you can always purchase them at auction, although the prices will be steep at first.

The final part of the costume is the cap. According to tradition, caps drop from bosses in instances, and therefore we will have to go into the dungeons. drops from Telestra in the Nexus or Jedogi from Ankahet, while the Green New Year's Cap dropped from the Oculus. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no exact confirmation of the drop locations of the caps, so it may change with the start of the event.

You will receive it some time after rescuing Metzen. Get dressed, eat and - voila! Achievement.

It all starts with a short ruler, which you can pick up in Orgrimmar or Ironforge. You will be sent to 35.72 in Alterac Valley, who will immediately ask you to kill someone. Although the mob's respawn rate is very fast, it will be very difficult to spawn it before other adventurers. As always, the best time to perform such achievements is late at night or early in the morning.

After killing and loot the quest item, talk to Snowman and then return to the quest starter in Ironforge or Orgrimmar.

This is one of those achievements that doesn't need to be explained, but is so hard to do. you will receive when using the emotion/kiss on NPCs in taverns. After that, go in search of the desired class-racial combinations =)

Fortune will help you!
Fraternal greeting () and ()
You need to find the indicated mobs and touch them with a sprig of mistletoe. We get mistletoe using the method indicated above - we kiss everything =).

For the Alliance:

  • from Stranglethorn
  • from Desoleys
  • from Theramore
  • from Goldshire
  • Brothers from Stormwind - the remaining brothers can be found in the Cathedral, location 55,54

For the Horde:

  • from Undercity
  • from Warsong Fortress in the Borean Tundra
  • aboard Orgrim's Hammer in Icecrown

Thanks to the great opportunity to level up Cooking, this achievement should be very easy. You need to prepare, and. Cooking recipes are sold by holiday vendors in Ironforge and Orgrimmar.

In total, you will need a small amount of reagents, which are mainly sold by holiday NPCs. The problem can only be caused by. They can be easily knocked out from low-level bird-like creatures in the starting locations of any race.

A great achievement not only because of the achievement points, but also because of the opportunity to make great money. You just need to find the gifts under the tree and get them. Please note that this year there will most likely be new non-combat pets or other fun items.

Also, gifts can give you some really cool items, which I earned about 5000 gold from last year. I’ll most likely tell you more in one of my posts =)

To complete this achievement you will also need a snowball. You receive the desired set by mail after completing the quest for the Grinch. Snowballs can be purchased from holiday vendors. After receiving all this splendor, we go to Dalaran and dance there with other snowmen.

If at first there is no end to those interested, then closer to the end of the holiday, there will probably be cunning guys who want to sell the “dance” for n-tat gold. Therefore, I recommend doing this achievement as quickly as possible.

The most difficult task will be finding a dwarf paladin, it seems to me. But that doesn't compare to the absurdity of finding a dwarf rogue for Pilgrim's Bounty. Be that as it may, the Horde and Alliance are more populated in their main cities than they were before when we were lost in Shatrath and Dalaran. You can try combining this achievement with Hot Dancing by trying to dance with members of the opposing faction. Otherwise, Battlefields, Tol Barad, or simply enemy cities/locations will help you complete the achievement with ease.

Also, gifts from past holiday years can be put to good use. For example, the Red Rider Carbine since 2007 can be used to obtain the BB King achievement for the Alliance and for the Horde. By the way, an alternative to this carbine is sold at toy sellers in Stormwind and Orgrimmar. BB King is a required achievement during Winter Veil, but Fearless Warbler is optional.

Hot dances

Sounds pretty straight forward, but you will need 3 objects:

  • Another snowman who wants to dance in Dalaran.

Yes, you will need to fly to Dalaran for this.

Getting the Dress Up Kit is pretty easy - it's an unannounced reward for Rugrats... , so just wait a day after completing the achievement and you'll see the Winter Veil Dress Up Kit in the mail. Snowballs, as I said earlier, can be bought from Winter Veil merchants or from snowdrifts around the world, and also drop from Hildean trophies. Finding the second snowman during the Dalaran holiday is easy during the first days of the holiday, but their number will decrease over time, so it is better to try to get the achievement at the beginning rather than at the end of the holiday. I remember that on my realm, some kind people stood near the bank and danced the whole night, letting others get the achievement. This is the end of the guide, I hope you found it interesting.

Winter cover 2011 begins on Thursday, December 15th and runs until January 2nd. The New Year's achievement Veselchak is necessary for the Long and Strange Journey, so you will have to work hard once again to get a little closer to the Amethyst Proto-Dragon.
But in addition to achievements, there will be something to do at the holiday: only at Winter Veil you can turn your mount into a reindeer, become a funny dancing snowman, and, of course, receive New Year's gifts.
Also this year we will see a new pet and a “new” holiday boss.

To Metzen!

Previously for the achievement To Metzen! I had to complete a short but fun quest. For the Alliance, it was issued by an NPC in Ironforge, and for the Horde, by an NPC in Orgrimmar.
Now we are offered a new quest - Cool Sense of Humor, which is marked as daily and group. Perhaps the Abominable Grinch, like other holiday bosses, will move to the instance, or maybe not - then you will have to fight with other players at the place of his spawn in Hillsbrad.

With some help from my friends...

This achievement will require some work. During the holiday, Frost Wonders appear in major cities and can turn you into a gnome dressed as Father Winter's Helper. The buff lasts for an hour, but disappears after death. Transformation machines can be found in the following areas:
  • Orgrimmar- the eastern tower of airships going to the Undercity / Grom'gol.
  • Ironforge– right outside the main gates of the city.
  • Undercity- at the tower of airships going to Orgrimmar/Grom'gol.
  • Stormwind- next to the flight master.
  • Tanaris- in the east of Gadgetzan.
  • Pirate Cove- on the pier.
  • Shattrath- east of the city in the Terokkar Forest.
  • Dalaran- right in the city center on Runoplet Square.
Got a buff? Great. Now in the guise of a gnome you need to win 50 honorable victories. Of course, battlefields (Alterac Valley, Isle of Conquest) or Tol Barad are ideal for this purpose. Hustle and bustle on large-scale battlegrounds is much more convenient for gaining victories than small skirmishes in Warsong Gulch and Arathi Highlands. If you are afraid of dying, you can use cannons or siege equipment where possible. If you didn’t manage to get 50 victories before dying (most likely this will happen), you’ll have to go again to get the buff from the Frost Wonder and queue up for a new BG.
Feral Druids have the worst luck: the appearance of a gnome is reset when changing form. This is very annoying, but you have to put up with it. Perhaps it’s worth running to a restaurant or balance spec for a while.
And of course, some annoying players will hunt characters dressed as gnomes and interfere with the achievement. Stay alert.

Buka

To achieve this achievement, the Alliance needs to throw snowballs at Muradin Bronzebeard in Ironforge, and the Horde needs to throw snowballs at Bane Bloodhoof in Thunder Bluff (before the Cataclysm, Magni and Cairne got it). Snowballs can be purchased from NPCs in major cities during Winter Veil. Hoarders can make their own snowballs from the festive snow that appears in Dun Morogh, Winterspring and the Alterac Mountains.

La-la-la-Ogri"la

This achievement will be a problem for those who at one time paid little attention to Outland. If you haven't played during TheBurningCrusade and are not familiar with Ogri"la, this is a faction of especially developed ogres, located in the western part of Blade's Edge Mountains. In 2009, you could immediately take the daily challenge One more time to give them a hard time!, in 2010 - no. It is not yet clear whether anything will change this year , but just in case, be prepared for the fact that to access the task you will have to complete a chain of quests:
  1. Start with the assignment of Chu"a"lor Crystals (NPC coordinates - 29, 57).
  2. Our boy wants to be a ranger for the Guardians of Heaven, says Torkus (28, 57).
  3. Outpost of the Guardians of Heaven, gives Chu "a" lor.
  4. Bombing run, issued by Sky Sergeant Vanderlip (27, 53).
  5. Now you can take it from him. Give them a hard time once again!
The quest itself is very simple, especially if you have a flying 310% mount. You will need Dried Holly (can be obtained from Ticking Gifts or purchased during celebrations) or Fresh Holly (need to be kissed by the Winter's Bed Reveler at any tavern). Using holly you can turn your flying mount into a deer. Druids who make do with their flight form will have to fork out money for this achievement. So, we mount the deer, take the quest, bomb the cannonballs, turn in the quest - and the achievement is in your pocket!

Winter days

At first glance, the achievement is simple, but you will have to tinker with festive clothes.
Chests and boots are easy to come by as they are crafted by tailors and leatherworkers. Look for Red or Green winter clothes and a pair of Winter boots. A full set will be expensive at auction during the holiday, so it is better to gather materials and find a crafter who will make you clothes. Although, the patterns require skill level 250 in Tailoring and 285 in Leatherworking, and if you have an alt with these professions, you can pump it up a little and sew a festive outfit yourself.
The New Year's cap is a problem. It usually drops in 5-person dungeons during Winter Veil. Last year, the cap could be dropped from the following bosses with a 100% chance:
  • Admiral Harrowing Roar in the Deadmines
  • Lord Godfrey at Shadowfang Keep
  • Dragh Hot Dark in Grim Batol
  • High Priestess Azil in the Stone Core
  • Twilight Herald Korla in Blackrock Caverns
Can't get your hat out? Don't be discouraged. In 2010, hats fell from the Great Sage Telestra from the Nexus, Jedoga the Seeker of Shadows from An'kahet and the Mage-Lord Uromaiz Oculus. Let's hope that the drop will not be removed this year. If you can kill these bosses solo, go to them. Chance of drop at Normal difficulty is not high, so it’s better to go straight to heroics.
Have you gotten your New Year's set? Now you need to eat the Grakka Cupcake with meat and fruit, which will be sent to you some time after saving Metzen. Voila - another achievement!

Oh that Grinch...

This achievement, like the quest to save Metzen, has undergone changes this year. Previously, we were sent to the Wonderful Snowman in the Alterac Mountains, who asked us to kill the Abominable Grinch. But since the Grinch is now associated with the daily group quest, he could be transferred to the instance like other holiday bosses. Otherwise, you will have to compete with other players at its spawn point.
After killing the Grinch and receiving the Stolen Treats, return them to their owner and talk to Grandfather Winter in Ironforge or Orgrimmar.

Let the blizzard blow stronger!

Let the blizzard blow stronger! unlikely to cause problems - all race and class combinations are quite popular. Probably the least common are dwarven paladins. But there are still many more of them than the dwarf robbers who had to be looked for at the Pilgrim's Feast. On the other hand, in the Cataclysm, Dalaran and Shattrath are deserted, and running around enemy capitals is not a safe activity. So that leaves the battlefields and Tol Barad. By the way, if you still look for players of another faction in Dalaran, you can also get the Incendiary Dancing achievement.
You can get a handful of snowflakes by kissing the Winter Veil Reveler in the tavern. It will take at least 10 handfuls to achieve.

Fraternal greeting

For this achievement you need to visit several NPCs. At first glance, it seems that the version for Alliance players is more complicated, but in fact, most of their “Brothers” are located in Stormwind. So, all you need to do is find these NPCs and touch them with a mistletoe branch.
Alliance
  1. Brother Nimez - Rebel camp in Northern Stranglethorn.
  2. Brother Anton - Wastelands.
  3. Brother Kerman - Theramore Isle, Dustwallow Marsh.
  4. Brother Wilhelm - Goldshire, Elwynn Forest.
  5. The remaining brothers are in the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind. Only Brother Christophe is walking outside in Cathedral Square.
Horde
  1. Brother Malach - Warrior's Quarter in the Undercity.
  2. Durkot Wolf Brother - Warsong Fortress (next to the stables).
  3. Brother Keltan is aboard the Horde airship Orgrim's Hammer, which patrols the northeastern region of Icecrown.

Winter treats

This is where the cooking skill you developed at the Pilgrim's Feast will come in handy - for the Winter Treats you will need to prepare these same treats. New Year's vendors in major cities have recipes for making Gingerbread cookies, Gogol-mogol and Hot apple cider. The cider recipe is only sold in Ironforge and Orgrimmar, but it can be sent to you by mail after completing some New Year's quests.
For treats you will need the following products:
  • One Ice Milk - sold by tavern owners around the world
  • 2 Holiday Booze - sold from New Year's vendors
  • One Sparkling Apple Cider - sold at New Year's vendors
  • 3 Holiday spices - sold from New Year's vendors
  • 2 Small eggs - It’s most convenient for the Horde to knock them out from the dragonhawks in the Woods of Eternal Song, for the Alliance - from the owlkin in Darkshore. If you don’t want to farm, you can buy eggs at an auction (usually for a lot of money).
To prepare all three dishes, you will need at least 325 cooking skill (1 for Gingerbread Cookies, 35 for Eggnog and 325 for Cider).

Gifts only for obedient children!

Receiving a New Year's gift - what could be nicer! But you will have to wait until December 25th - it is on this day that New Year's gifts begin to appear under the tree in Ironforge or Orgrimmar.
Looks like this year's special gift will be the Colorful Winter Veil Sweater. With it you can get the Fearless Chanter achievement.
Plus, the Clockwork Rocket Bot (2007), the Beat-Thresh Ball (2008), the Red Rider Carbine (2009), and the Mini-Zeppelin Controller (2010) were all great feats, so the sweater is your ticket to more one feat.

Hot dances

This achievement requires three things:
  • Winter Veil Dress Up Kit
  • Snowball
  • Another snowman player located in Dalaran
The dressing up kit is easy to get - it will be sent to you after receiving the achievement Oh, that Grinch... Snowballs, as already mentioned, can be bought from New Year's NPCs, found in snowy areas or obtained from Hilda trophies. In the first days of Winter Veil, it will be easy to find a dance partner in Dalaran, but over time the city will become empty again, so try to get the achievement as early as possible.
